Working as an extension of our customers' operations, we combine industry expertise, quality, compliance and operational excellence to protect brands, improve efficiency and create supply chain value.\n Life in this role\nAs part of our, Integrated Packing Services division, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Regional Engineer.\nIn this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality outcomes, supporting day-to-day operations, and contributing to a positive and collaborative working environment. You’ll thrive on variety, take ownership of your work, and bring energy and ideas to the team. You will ensure the implementation of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks and improvements across the Midlands Region, and provide solutions to reduce costs and improve plant efficiencies.\nKey responsibilities of a Regional Engineer:\nOwnership of specific jobs/projects through to successful completion\nPerform fault diagnosis leading to resolution of random failures on production machinery, identifying root cause in repair process\nCarrying out planned maintenance tasks as part of a preventative maintenance strategy\nComplete risk assessments/method statements to ensure safe running of all factory equipment and processes\nIdentify and report all stock /spares issues\nLiaise with production on plant outages to ensure minimum downtime of production equipment\nPrioritise own work load with consideration to output, product quality and line efficiency\nProactive approach to identify improvements to increase line and machinery efficiencies\nComplete all line checks and documentation as required\nTo assist in the training and development of new starters\nTo act as a role model for best practice\nMonitor, control and minimise waste\nPlay an active part in continuous improvement\nTo participate in the company’s PDP program\nTo act as specialist for machinery knowledge\nDrive own personal development through training and work based experience\nManage the output of assigned production and effectively deal with issues as and when they arise.\n What you’ll need...\nExperience of working in a food factory environment would be advantageous\nFully complete apprenticeship is desirable, with packing experience\nBasic computer literacy.\nAble to communicate and motivate others is an essential part of the role. Understanding of internal systems and processes, with the ability to work within these parameters. An understanding of health and safety requirements is essential.\nSelf-driven, results-oriented with a positive disposition, and a clear focus on meeting deadlines. Must be flexible in approach to work and undertake overtime during busy periods when required\nManagement Ability - The post holder must be able to work under pressure both as part of a team and on own initiative. Must also be able to communicate effectively to ensure the smooth running of the department.
