To be a role model for best practice at all times, and provide support to Line Leaders where appropriate:\nRotational shifts: 6am-2pm; 2pm-10pm; 10pm-6am.\nKey Duties:\nTo effectively motivate a team of people to meet production targets\nEnsure the final product meets client specifications (SPI)\nTo effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis\nEffectively use the integrated management systems\nTo adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health, safety and quality regulations\nTo ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures\nTo ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external\nTo ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to\nAssist in the development of a skills matrix for all production workers\nTo attend Line leader meetings, and relevant training courses, as and when required\nTo assist in the identification and development of Line Leaders to promote success planning\nTo assist in the training and development of new starters\nTo act as a role model for best practice\nMonitor, control and minimise waste\nPlay an active part in continuous improvement\nTo conduct RTW’s for line workers\nTo participate in the company’s PDP program\nTo conduct disciplinary investigations in accordance with company procedure\nTo act as specialist for machinery knowledge\nDrive own personal development through training and work based experience\nManage the output of assigned production and effectively deal with issues as and when they arise\nCover for the Area Manager in his/her absence\nLiaise with customers and clients as and when required\nMust be prepared to cover a variety of shifts to represent the management team\nTo undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post\nExperience of working in a customer-led environment with changing priorities\nExperience of manufacturing machinery and processes\nH&S L2 Qualification\nNVQ L2 in Team Leading of Packing Operations\nAbility to communicate in a positive and clear manner\nAbility to plan, organise and prioritise work to strict deadlines\nRecognises and promotes the importance of continuous improvement\nAble to work towards
