Microsoft Operations Manager

Human Services Management Corporation (HSMC) provides shared business and consulting services to both non-profit and proprietary human services agencies. These services include accounting, payroll, third-party billing and collections, human resources, online and live Continuing Education, marketing, facility development and quality assurance programs.

The Microsoft Operations Manager oversees the daily operation, stability, and support of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and on-premises Active Directory. This role is focused on managing the Microsoft Analyst team and the IT Tech Supervisor, administration, user support, and operational execution, ensuring consistent, reliable, and efficient service delivery.

The position works closely with Security Leadership and Infrastructure Leadership to align operations with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and technical dependencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• · Manage the Microsoft Analyst Team and the IT Tech Supervisor.
• · Administer and maintain Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and on-prem AD environments
• · Monitor system health, performance, and service availability
• · Maintain tenant configurations, directory sync, licensing, device management policies, and platform updates
• · Execute user lifecycle tasks (onboarding, offboarding, access changes) across Entra ID and on-prem AD
• · Partner with IT, Security Leadership, and Infrastructure Leadership to develop, standardize, and improve lifecycle and access management best practices
• · Maintain roles, group memberships, access consistency, and device compliance alignment
• · Troubleshoot and resolve Microsoft platform and endpoint management issues; act as escalation point
• · Coordinate with help desk and vendors to ensure timely resolution
• · Follow change control processes; ensure all changes are reviewed, approved, and documented
• · Maintain SOPs, operational documentation, and audit readiness to support regulatory requirements
• · Perform routine system checks, respond to alerts, and track performance trends
• · Use PowerShell to support routine administrative tasks and efficiencies
• · Work closely with Security Leadership on access governance, device compliance, and regulatory requirements
• · Work closely with Infrastructure Leadership on dependencies and escalations
• · Collaborate with engineering teams on improvements and support post-deployment operations
• · Oversee daily operational tasks and ensure timely, accurate completion

• · Bachelor’s degree required
• · 5+ years of management experience, with demonstrated expertise in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and on-premises Active Directory
• · Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Intune, including device management, compliance policies, and endpoint configuration
• · Familiarity with Microsoft’s Power Applications
• · Strong background in IT operations, user administration, and endpoint/device management
• · Experience in hybrid environments (cloud and on-prem AD)
• · Familiarity with PowerShell
• · Experience in environments with regulatory requirements

• Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding)
