The Business Data Analytics & API Integration Analyst will support the development, integration, and optimization of enterprise reporting and analytics platforms across project, cost, schedule, and operational data sources. This role will focus on connecting business systems through APIs, developing Power BI dashboards, managing SQL-based data models, and leveraging AI technologies to improve reporting efficiency and business insights.\nThis position is ideal for a technology-oriented professional with 2-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, system integrations, or enterprise reporting.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nData Analytics & Reporting\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for executive, operational, and project teams.\nCreate data models, measures, and calculations using Power BI and DAX.\nAnalyze business data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance indicators.\nSupport development of KPI frameworks and automated reporting solutions.\nValidate data quality, consistency, and accuracy across multiple data sources.\nAPI & System Integration\nAssist with the design, development, and maintenance of API integrations between enterprise platforms.\nConnect data from systems such as ERP, PMIS, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and other business applications.\nSupport automation of data collection, transformation, and reporting processes.\nTroubleshoot integration and data synchronization issues.\nMaintain documentation for integrations, workflows, and data mappings.\nDatabase & Data Management\nDevelop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extracts.\nSupport data warehouse and data pipeline initiatives.\nManage data imports, exports, and transformation processes.\nAssist in implementing data governance and quality control standards.\nAI & Advanced Analytics\nUtilize AI and machine learning tools to improve reporting efficiency and decision support.\nSupport implementation of Copilot, AI-powered analytics, and workflow automation solutions.\nResearch emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications for business operations.\nDevelop AI-assisted reporting and data summarization solutions.\nCollaboration & Support\nWork closely with Project Controls, Finance, Construction Technology, and Operations teams.\nGather business requirements and translate them into dashboard and reporting solutions.\nProvide end-user support and training for analytics tools and reporting platforms.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives across data and reporting processes.\nKnowledge & Skills Required:\nAdvanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.\nStrong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.\nExperience connecting and transforming data from multiple sources.\nUnderstanding of REST APIs, JSON, and API-based integrations.\nExperience with Microsoft Power Platform components.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to interpret complex business requirements and convert them into actionable reporting solutions.\nExperience with data visualization best practices and dashboard design.\nStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nDetail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel.\nPreferred Education and Experience:\nBachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.\n2-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or system integration.\nExperience developing dashboards in Power BI.\nExperience writing advanced SQL queries and managing large datasets.\nExperience integrating business systems through APIs.\nFamiliarity with AI platforms, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Azure AI or OpenAI\nExperience with Python, Power Automate, or other automation tools.\nExperience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.\nExperience with enterprise platforms such as Oracle, Aconex, Procore, Smartsheet, SharePoint, or similar systems.\nExperience supporting large capital projects, construction programs, or enterprise business operations is a plus.\nCumming Group is committed to providing Equal Employment Opportunity in its personnel policies and practices.
