This position is responsible for coordinating and tracking all related documents. The Project Engineer is responsible for representation of the contractor out in the field, help tradesmen interpret the job's designs, ensure the job is constructed according to the project plans, and assist project controls, including budgeting, scheduling, and planning.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nAssist top Project Manager on site in formulation of the design, bid, and Project phase scheduling of the assigned project(s). \nProvide update/status reporting for work in progress including costs and schedules. \nAssist in the Addenda and Bid process. \nAdminister Project sub-contracts. \nUnder the supervision of Project Manager(s) facilitate job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes. \nMaintain accurate records. \nUnder supervision of Project Manager(s) conduct close out activities and assist with building occupancy. \nAssist the project management team with various parts of the project such as constructability review, value engineering, pay app reviews, schedule development, FF&E program development and execution. \nAssist in formulating the design, bid, and project phase of scheduling. \nAssist in the Addenda and Bid process. \nUnder supervision of Project Manager, conduct pre-bid and job start meetings. \nMonitor contract compliance and report concerns to Project Manager. \nUnder the supervision of Project Manager, facilitate job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes. \nOversee approvals from applicable government agencies are received and documented. \nUnder supervision of Project Manager, conduct close out activities and assist with building occupancy. \nPrepares field reporting for review by Project Manager. \nPerform QA/QC process. \nReview change orders for completeness and conformance to company and client standards. \nReview RFIs/Submittals for completeness before distribution to design team. \nProvide basic CPM scheduling and budget management. \nReview and maintain As Built drawings.\nOther duties as assigned.\nAttendance at work during normal business hours. \nKnowledge & Skills Required:\nExperience with design & bid formulation and project phase scheduling.\nExperience with the Addenda and Bid process.\nAbility to facilitate site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.\nAbility to communicate with various stakeholders, internal and external to the company. \nDemonstrate an understanding of how project documentation impacts the project flow. \nAbility to read blueprints. \nUtilize effective written and oral communication skills. \nUnderstand how your role contributes to the organization's goals. \nDeliver quality work product by role modeling organizational core values. \nHold self accountable to individual and team goals. \nConsistently communicate and collaborate with team members and clients. \nBuild relationships with peers, leaders, and clients. \nProactively participate in self-development to continually enhance current skills and build new skills required to excel at current role and prepare for career progression.\nAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently.\nDemonstrate sound judgement and logical decisions making skills.\nAbility to perform at high levels in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment. \nRely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. \nPreferred Education and Experience:\nEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related field, a combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree\nExperience: 2-3 years of experience in project construction\nCumming Group is committed to providing Equal Employment Opportunity in its personnel policies and practices.
