This is a lead-level, onsite position responsible for managing the procurement of equipment, construction services, engineering services, and technical service contracts throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting large-scale CAPEX projects, leading sourcing and contracting strategies, and driving supplier performance from award through project completion.\nDuration: 12-month contract with a 12-month extension (minimum 2-year assignment)\nKey Position Highlights\nLead procurement role supporting a major pharmaceutical manufacturing capital project\nManage RFx processes, bid evaluations, negotiations, contracts, and purchase orders\nOversee procurement of process equipment, engineering, construction, and technical services\nCoordinate closely with Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Finance, Quality, Legal, and Operations teams\nMonitor supplier performance, schedules, delivery commitments, and commercial escalations\nCAPEX / large-scale capital project experience required\nPharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred\nSummary of Responsibilities\nLead owner-side procurement activities for equipment, construction, subcontract, and professional service packages\nDevelop procurement plans, contracting strategies, procurement schedules, and long-lead equipment tracking\nManage vendor prequalification, RFPs, bid evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards\nTrack procurement progress from purchase order issuance through fabrication, shipment, delivery, installation, and closeout\nManage supplier performance, schedule risks, change orders, claims, and procurement reporting\nEnsure vendor documentation supports commissioning, qualification, validation, and regulatory requirements\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field\n8+ years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, contracting, or capital project experience\nExperience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical manufacturing, or other regulated industries\nStrong background in contract negotiation, vendor management, procurement scheduling, and supplier performance\nExperience with SAP, Ariba, Oracle, or similar procurement systems preferred\nCPSM, CPM, or PMP certification preferred\nCumming Group is committed to providing Equal Employment Opportunity in its personnel policies and practices.
