This opportunity will have you working within our Education project sector. The Education team is a prime consultant to multiple school districts in the country and provides services to K-12 as well as higher education institutions nationally. You will be teaming with project, program, and client leadership to provide premier educational facilities for our nation’s youth and adults seeking to better themselves through learning.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nProvides technical and administrative support for the Program Management Office (PMO) Construction department and the school district's Facilities, Planning, And Development (FPD) department, exclusively supporting bond funded projects. \nTrack and follow up with the owner/design team/construction team RFIs and submittals as required during design, pre-bid, and construction phases.\nPerform internal reviews of change orders, field orders, and other contractual documents for districtwide design/construction projects.\nCoordinates with PMO staff and District FPD on the review and processing of change orders for all active construction projects.\nPerform detailed review of Change Order documents for completeness and accuracy.\nParticipate in coordination meetings to facilitate timely reviews.\nMaintain Change Order Logs and other tracking documents for PMO and FPD use and reference.\nAbility to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.\nAssist in preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly reports for management review.\nCollects, tracks, reviews lessons learned and submits for closeouts and for management review.\nMonitor changes and revisions to ensure timely processing of Change Orders and Field Orders.\nSubmits CO and FO for final PMO and District approvals.\nReview and follow Standard Operating Procedures for CO Processing.\nFacilitate resolution of conflicts and issues to maintain timely workflow.\nAssist in coordination meetings with the District Office and stakeholders. \nGenerate and distribute meeting minutes to confirm discussions.\nMaintain electronic files and records for all reviews.\nPerform other job related duties as assigned.\nMaintains log of daily tasks and submits a monthly to management for review.\nPerform other relatively similar administrative duties as directed by the PMO and District FPD.\nPreferred Education and Experience:\nBS/BA Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field required. Additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated below may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.\nMinimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in a similar or equivalent position in construction.\nProficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.\nExperience using Bluebeam and Adobe software for document reviews/mark-ups.\nAbility to work in a team environment.\nAbility to take initiative and make sound decisions.\nEffectively manage daily work effort.\nGood communication skills verbal and writing.\nPrevious experience with Change Orders and Supporting Documentation preferred.\nPrevious experience with educational projects preferred.\nExperience working on a large client program preferred.\nExperience working on multiple projects simultaneously preferred.\nExperience with Prolog, Trimble Unity Construct (formerly e-Builder), Proliance or other PMIS systems preferred.\nExperience with Adobe Acrobat sign (formerly Adobe E-Sign) preferred.\nCumming Group is committed to providing Equal Employment Opportunity in its personnel policies and practices.
