A welder is required to operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, flame-cutting equipment, and brazing and semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to bond metal or repair worn or broken metal parts.\nResponsibilities\nRead and interpret blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements\nConnect cables from welding unit to obtain amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse, as specified by engineer\nManually guides electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molten puddle\nWeld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions\nExamines weld for bead size and other specifications\nRepair broken or cracked parts and fills holes\nPosition and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jig or fixtures\nSelect torch, torch tip, filler ford and flux, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.\nPerforms all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding\nAbility to move parts in and move finished product out of welding area\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQualifications\n1+ years of relevant experience\nAbility to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals.\nAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.\nMust be able to read a tape measure.\nAbility to perform simple shop math, convert decimals to fractional equivalents.\nMust be eligible to legally work in the United States.\nMust have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.\nMust pass a background check and drug screen.\nWhat We Offer:\nHealth, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance\nEmployee Assistance Program\nSupplemental Insurance: Accident & Critical Illness\nFSA\n401K & ROTH 401K\nPaid Time Of\nEmployment at Cummings is subject to background check and drug screen;
