A successful candidate will be able to effectively manage vendors, perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories, secure favorable pricing, optimal terms and manage projects in a professional environment.\nResponsibilities\nPurchase finished goods and raw materials, such as electrical conduit, boxes, wire, fabricated parts, fittings, shop supplies, etc from local & global suppliers.\nMake sourcing decisions that demonstrate a solid understanding of commercial terms, price quotes, discounts, schedules, etc.\nNegotiate terms with vendors, considering lead-times and operational capacity, delivery terms, and payment terms. Demonstrate business acumen to establish win-win agreements and relationships.\nAssess, manage and mitigate risks\nTrack and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness\nResolve vendor related problems with quality, billing, delivery, and return issues.\nManage and improve supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness).\nInteract with various construction project teams and manufacturing facilities to ensure continuous supply of materials and deadlines are met.\nPerform additional responsibilities as assigned by management\nQualifications\nRequired skills:\n5+ years of Supply Chain experience, including purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment\nComputer savvy-experienced in using ERP/MRP systems and able to use the data to decrease the total cost of acquisition\nMust possess analytical skills in forecasting production needs and capacity\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nSuccessful track record of troubleshooting, and resolving conflict in a way that is both assertive and diplomatic\nA collaborative working style that removes obstacles and promotes teamwork.\nOther:\nHigh School diploma or G.E.D.\nProficient computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office (emphasis on MS Excel)\nMust have valid driver’s license\nMust be able to pass background check and drug/alcohol screening for access to all job sites\nTravel:\nMinimal travel outside DFW metroplex\nCompensation:\nThis position is exempt/salary per FLSA guidelines\nCompensation commensurate with skills and experience\nAll applicants will be subject to background check and drug screen.\nCompensation commensurate with experience.\nCummings Electrical LP is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.\nComprehensive benefits offered;
