This is a unique opportunity to gain skills and knowledge while you are working full time commencing 27th January 2027.\nIn this role you will make an impact and gain experience in the following ways:\nSupporting the work of the Power Generation Engineering Team by assisting Power Generation Application Engineers daily on Power Generation projects and product engineering support\nCummins products Application Engineering - analysing proposed installations in compliance to Cummins PG products Application manuals\nProject engineering - including all associated design and documentation preparation work supporting Projects Tender Submissions\nProduct engineering support - supporting PG Application Engineers and SPAC Product Management team with New Products release to the region engineering tasks including new products’ compliance audits and reporting\nResponding to technical queries to both internal and external customers\nCAD modelling producing SLDs, Site Layouts etc when required\nWorking in a team environment with internal and external customers across multiple departments\n About You:\nTo qualify for this undergraduate internship, it is essential that you:\nAre currently studying a Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering student, ideally at an undergraduate level \nHave between 1 and 8 units of study left to complete of your undergraduate degree as of January 2027\nAre available for the full 13 months and be willing to defer your studies for that duration. \nNote: Applicants that do not meet these qualifying requirements unfortunately will not be considered.\nTo be successful in this role, you will possess skills/abilities or be able to perform:\nWorking towards a qualification in bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or mechatronics Engineering \nStrong results in mathematics and Microsoft Excel skills with Visual Basic experience in macros will be favourably looked at\nAn appreciation and understanding of basic power generation, and application\nGood Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to show initiative, operate autonomously & think independently\nStrong teamwork & communication skills and stakeholder management\nDriver’s license is beneficial but not mandatory\nThis is a 13-month, full time, paid placement and the successful candidate will be required to defer their studies for the duration of the program.\nHow to apply:\nFor all applications, please submit your resume, cover letter and academic transcript via the link provided. \nIn your cover letter, please specify how many units of study you have remaining on your undergraduate degree and your motivation behind applying both to Cummins and this specific internship. \nNote: We will be unable to assess your application without all of the required documents, so please ensure you attach your resume, cover letter and academic transcripts at the time of application.\nAt Cummins, we are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
