Performs activities under direct supervision.\nWe are looking for a talented Facilities Technician to join our Distribution business in (North Las Vegas, NV).\nWill make an impact in the following ways:\nComplete facility and grounds maintenance activities, including minor repairs, painting, drywall, lighting, flooring, and plumbing.\nCoordinate preventative, reactive, and planned maintenance work using maintenance tracking systems.\nSupport service center operations by operating forklifts, powered equipment, and company vehicles as required.\nManage facility supplies, purchase orders, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.\nAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies and support facility compliance initiatives.\n In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:\nExperience performing general facility, building, or grounds maintenance activities.\nAbility to troubleshoot and coordinate basic electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and facility-related repairs.\nProficiency using basic computer applications, email, and Microsoft Office products.\nStrong organizational skills with experience managing multiple assignments and priorities.\nValid CDL required with a clean driving record meeting DOT and FMCSA requirements.\nExperience operating forklifts, material handling equipment, and commercial vehicles preferred.\nBasic truck, engine, or service shop knowledge is beneficial.\n This role will report directly to the General Manager. \nMust have Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Will be expected to test customer vehicles after service work has been completed and as required.\nPick up and deliver parts to field service teams as required.\nPick up and deliver customer vehicles as required. \n\nBasic truck and engine knowledge / experience will be beneficial. \nWill have to be able to drive and use forklifts in the service yard and parts warehouse. Candidate will be trained and certified on forklift usage. Previous experience will be beneficial. \nSupport Health and Safety Champion with any action following their facility compliance inspections.\nWork with building vendors and own facilities assignments from GM until completion, while keeping General Manager informed on progress. \nBasic IT knowledge / experience will be beneficial to support facility requests from corporate IT teams. \nBasic PC literature required.Emails and basic Microsoft Office experience. \nPurchase order creation. \n\n- A current valid CDL is required for this role.\n- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free of major violations\n- This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and on going random drug and alcohol testing\n- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical\n- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use\n- Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age\nEducation, Licenses, Certifications:\nHigh school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.\nExperience:\nMinimal or no work experience required.\nCompensation and Benefits\nBase salary rate commensurate with experience.
