This will be following Onsite work model.\nResponsible for balancing supply of materials with incoming demand and in line with stocking strategies for a site. Ensure production/operations have adequate and timely supply of needed materials. Maintain strong focus on supplier management and reschedule supplier orders in or out, when necessary. Work closely with all relevant stakeholders to execute adjustments.\nKey Responsibilities:\nIn this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:\nManage all aspects of the material plan of the site based on requirements. Manage accuracy of aggregate supplier schedules for the site. \nManage exceptions generated from the Advanced Planning System and balance this between Supplier capability and plant/operations needs. \nActively manage Supplier commitment into the material plan to assess impact to build plans for the site. \nActively engage in the process of allocating constrained supply. Generate and validate Supplier scorecards. \nActively manage Supplier performance, identify suboptimal performance, drive accountability for improvement and escalate to Supply Continuity team ahead of potential disruption. \nInteract with demand and supply planning teams to better understand changing demand (volume and mix) that may drive potential risk to suppliers and manage the outcome accordingly. \nProvide input to enable inventory repositioning. Interpret, analyze and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators.\nWorks with Quality to disposition non-conforming material in a timely manner.\n\nWorks with Purchasing and other support teams to properly set up local/dual sourced parts.\n\nSupport purchase requisition on supplier tooling purchase.\n\nGenerate and validate Customer delivery performance.\n\nPerforms quality checks on system planning parameters (min/max inventory level, re-order point.\n\nMakes adjustments to the planning parameter settings if approved.\n\nTakes ownership and accountability for the disaggregate demand plan, supply plan, and inventory plan that supports end Customer needs.\n\nRemains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.\n\n To be successful in this role you will need the following:\nValues differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.\nMaterials Planning System Utilization - Uses the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans taking long-term corrective action on exception messages and other alerts based on root cause analysis; occasionally refers to adhoc tools such as Excel, Access, TOAD, OMS, etc. in performing problem solving, while leveraging the materials planning system as the primary tool in day-to-day operations.\nPart Change Control Management - Evaluates and implements engineering change request (obsolescence, supersessions, new part release, etc.) to meet customer delivery requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.\nPlan for Every Part (PFEP) - Uses PFEP in planning, designing, and management of systems and processes within a facility to ensure delivery of right part at the right time in the right quantity to the right place, which in turn guarantees smooth operations; applies PFEP principles on the end to end supply chain with particular attention to the relationships between master data management, materials planning parameters, engineered material flows, transport management, and warehouse management.\nMaterial Planning - Uses advanced tools (e.g. Advanced Planning Command Centre, Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboards etc.) to take a decision related to parts availability, inventory optimization and root cause analysis. \nMaterials KPI Management - Operates in relation to recent or historical outputs as compared to expectations of the organization to determine next steps to drive improvement; assesses gaps to the supply chain performance against the expectation of achieving target deliverables; interprets KPIs to understand end-customer impact; strategically balances trade-offs to influence one KPI while minimizing the impact to others.\nInventory Management and Optimization - Uses analytics and algorithms to determine the optimal level of inventory investment across the end-to-end supply chain within specific constraints (warehouse space, customer delivery, etc.); provides guidance and expertise on planning parameter refinement; develops inventory strategies to support Cummins' strategy and not just a business unit strategy.\nCollaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.\nCommunicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.\nCustomer focus - Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.\nDrives results - Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.\nEnsures accountability - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.\nOptimizes work processes -
