The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering and Technical Operations teams to support prototype builds, customer samples, process development, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to deliver projects and technologies that support global manufacturing operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nBuild, modify, test, and support prototype products and early customer sample builds\nCarry out electrical and mechanical assembly activities to a high standard of quality and safety\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, technical specifications, and work instructions\nSupport the Global prototype and wider global manufacturing engineering team in developing and validating new prototype products and manufacturing processes\nSupport design improvement and investigations on prototype products and processes\nAssist with the introduction, development, and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment such as laser welding and COBOT applications\nTroubleshoot and resolve product, process, and equipment-related issues\nCarry out testing, collect and analyse data, and produce clear technical reports to support engineering development activities.\nMaintain accurate build records, test results and process documentation, ensuring appropriate traceability.\nWork collaboratively across engineering, operations, and project teams to achieve development objectives\nIdentify and implement opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and ways of working\nWork independently within defined responsibilities, taking ownership of assigned prototype build, test and process activities.\nProvide practical guidance, knowledge sharing and support to less-experienced technicians and other team members when required.\nSupport equipment uptime through fault diagnosis, downtime investigations and preventive and corrective maintenance activities within the scope of the role.\nCarry out in-process and final inspections, identify non-conformances and promptly raise quality, product or process concerns\nMaintain high standards of documentation, traceability, quality, and housekeeping\nPromote a safe working environment through compliance with risk assessments, safe systems of work, and company procedures\nContribute to continuous improvement activities focused on quality, efficiency, safety, and operational excellence\n To be successful in this role you will need the following:\nMechanical/Electrical assembly experience\nExperience with hand tools\nTroubleshooting\n Battery experience preferred","description_format":"text","description_chars":2782,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Industrial Machinery","Automotive Components"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-11-02T11:13:29Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"adverts_offering_sponsorship_24m":0,"sanctioned_now":false,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker, Graduate Trainee)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker;
