This will be following Onsite with flexibility work model.\nThis dual product/project focused position leads the overall technical coordination of lower complexity product development activities and is accountable for the project management of technical risk and quality of the product up to and including early production. This position integrates the requirements of the many interdisciplinary and cross functional stakeholders of product development, often involving difficult decisions that impact cost and delivery without sacrifice to the quality expectations of the value package profile.\nIn this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:\nThe successful applicant will be responsible delivering medium to large engineering projects in the power generation space. This role requires a blend of electrical power engineering, control systems engineering, systems engineering, commissioning, mentoring and project/task management skills. This role will have no direct reports.\nThis role requires travel both within Malaysia and occasional international travel. This typically involves travel to a Cummins or sub-supplier facility or to a construction site, and providing engineering expertise in the construction phase or witnessing or performance of testing/commissioning. Some work sites may be in remote areas.\nIn support of wider power generation projects, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and to support other Lead Engineers in the deployment of major projects.\nProvide engineering to support complex projects, provide technical solution/proposal,\nMentor junior engineers and engineering interns,\nBe the key conduit and liaison for Project Managers to plan and direct works for the more junior engineers in support of project goals,\nAssess a project for required engineering input,\nIdentify and manage technical risk within a project,\nDevelop an engineering delivery plan appropriate to the project’s needs,\nWork with other engineers towards the delivery of other projects as necessary,\nInterface with customers and sub-suppliers on engineering matters,\nInterface with construction and commissioning teams on technical matters\n To be successful in this role you will need the following:\nProduct Development Execution, Monitoring and Control - Plans, coordinates, and executes product development aligned to requirements; monitors cross-functional delivery; manages risk and quality across the full product lifecycle.\n\nProduct Function Modeling, Simulation and Analysis - Uses and interprets computational tools to assess product capability against system, sub-system, Verification and Validation Management - Develops validation plans, manages product risk, evaluates test and simulation results, and provides technical recommendations supported by organization.\n\n Preferred Qualification:\nA Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (master's degree preferred).\nExtensive experience in previous power projects (power generation, green energy, distribution, substation, high voltage, switchgear, mining, rail, defense, heavy industry or similar),\n\nCreate, review and critique designs, commissioning test plans, procedures and reports,\n\nAdhere to ISO 9001 quality work practices,\n\nAssess engineering risks in accordance with ISO 31000,\n\nDevelop and maintain engineering deliverable plans while tracking task progress for their team as a key conduit for the Project Management team,\n\nSelf managed, good planning and organization skills\n\nProject task planning and basic project management skills,\n\nGood written and verbal communication skills,\n\nProblem solving skills,\n\nCustomer facing skills,\n\nA current driver's license,\n\nAn interdependent safety culture,\n\nDesirable additional skills might include:\nPrevious experience with diesel engines\n\nAutoCAD, Creo, and/or MS Project experience\n\nFamiliarity with electrical protection relays and high voltage equipment\n\nProfessional training delivery experience\n\nConstruction site experience\n\nThis role is not eligible for cross border
