This role requires a blend of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, team leadership and project/task management skills. This role will have no direct reports.\nThis role requires occasional extended travel both within Australia and Internationally in support of project needs. This typically involves travel to a Cummins or sub-supplier facility or to a construction site, and providing engineering expertise in the construction phase or witnessing or performance of testing/commissioning. Some work sites may be in remote areas.\nIn support of wider power generation projects, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and to support other Lead Engineers in the deployment of major projects.\nEngineering support for major projects, provide technical solution/proposal,\nMentor junior engineers and engineering interns,\nBe the key conduit and liaison for Project Managers to plan and direct works\nAssess a project for required engineering input,\nIdentify and manage technical risk within a project,\nDevelop an engineering delivery plan appropriate to the project’s needs,\nLead a team of other engineers, external consultants and sub-suppliers in the delivery of the engineering plan,\nWork with other lead engineers towards the delivery of other projects as necessary,\nInterface with customers and sub-suppliers on engineering matters,\nAsist the Engineering Leadership Team in the development of standardised work practices towards a continuous improvement goal,\nThe preferred applicant would be able to demonstrate:\nExtensive experience in previous project delivery (power generation, green energy, distribution, substation, high voltage, switchgear, mining, rail, defence, heavy industry, construction or similar),\nCreate, review and critique designs, test plans, procedures and reports,\nAdhere to ISO 9001 quality work practices,\nAssess engineering risks in accordance with ISO 31000,\nDevelop and maintain engineering deliverable plans while tracking task progress for their team as a key
