Performs installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. Operates power equipment and hand tools to install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems and related components, including irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, control panels, valves, pumps, etc. \nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: \nDevelop nutrient programs with the Cultivation Manager to ensure strain-specific needs are met \n· Maintain strategy for crop irrigation and feeding schedules \n· Work closely with the growing team to ensure irrigation plan is appropriately implemented and maintained \n· Partner with Cultivation Manager to maintain inventory of all chemicals and fertilizers on site \n· Ensure fertilizer concentrate tanks are filled adequately \n· Make daily adjustments to the irrigation schedule \n· Respond to system alarms and diagnose/troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively \n· Take measurements, record data, and observations for all grow rooms \n· Write and execute Standard Operating Procedures related to fertigation \n· Performs regular calibration of nutrient testing instruments \n· Monitor soil moisture content of the crop, and obtain water samples for testing \n· Work closely with the other supervisors and managers to maintain a healthy, happy, clean, highly productive, and compliant facility. \n· Responsible for directing employees’ daily tasks \n· Provide leadership to fertigation team, train team members on new and updated SOPs \n· Drive production goals \n· Streamline processes \n· Ensure tasks are being completed safely and per the SOP \n· Communicate laterally with other management staff \n· Communicate with upper management \n· Ability to provide strong leadership to address employee concerns and administer disciplinary action if necessary \n· Approve payroll \n· Provide policy updates \n· Recommend staff members for advancement or promotions \n· Assist with interviews and hiring \n· Able to work variable shifts to meet business requirements \n· Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays as scheduling requires \n· Other duties as assigned \nTravel Requirements: \nPerform other duties as assigned. \nSupervisory Responsibilities: \nThis position directly supervises the work activities of others and makes recommendations concerning selection, termination, performance appraisal, and professional development \nQUALIFICATIONS: \nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
