The ideal candidate will bring expertise in HVAC, MEP systems, building automation systems (BAS), environmental controls, and facility utilities, with a strong understanding of how temperature, humidity, airflow, ventilation, and CO₂ systems work together to create optimal indoor growing and production environments.\nThis individual will partner closely with Operations, Facilities, Construction, Quality, and Compliance teams to develop practical engineering solutions, manage contractors and vendors, support capital projects, and drive facility performance across domestic and international operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead facility design, construction, commissioning, and infrastructure improvement projects across cultivation, manufacturing, laboratory, and distribution sites.\nProvide technical expertise for HVAC, MEP systems, environmental controls, facility utilities, and building automation systems.\nSupport the design and optimization of controlled environment cultivation facilities, including temperature, humidity, airflow, ventilation, and CO₂ management.\nCoordinate and manage engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional project teams.\nConduct facility assessments and technical due diligence for acquisitions, expansions, and capital projects.\nReview facility infrastructure, utility capacity, and engineering designs to support operational and business objectives.\nPartner with Operations, Quality, Compliance, and Facilities teams to troubleshoot issues and implement sustainable solutions.\nSupport facility readiness for GACP, GMP, and EU-GMP regulated environments.\nPromote OSHA compliance and safe facility design and operation standards.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.\n10+ years of experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, agricultural, pharmaceutical, food production, cannabis, or other regulated facilities.\nStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, MEP infrastructure, environmental controls, and facility utilities.\nExperience managing facility design, construction, renovation, or capital improvement projects.\nExperience coordinating contractors, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders.\nWorking knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and facility controls.\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate engineering concepts into practical operational solutions.\nKnowledge of OSHA regulations and facility safety standards.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license.\nExperience supporting cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, extraction, or processing facilities.\nExperience with controlled environment agriculture (CEA), greenhouse, or indoor cultivation operations.\nExperience with laboratory, clean-room, pharmaceutical, or other regulated production environments.\nExperience with commissioning, qualification, validation, or facility startup activities.\nWorking knowledge of GACP, GMP, and EU-GMP facility requirements.\nExperience managing engineering consultants, contractors, and complex design teams.\nInternational facility engineering experience, including exposure to Canadian or European operations.\nCuraleaf Pay Transparency\n$131,000—$159,000 USD\nWhat We Offer:\nCareer Growth Opportunities\nCompetitive Pay and Benefits\nGenerous PTO and Parental Leave\n401(K) Retirement Plan\nLife/ Disability Insurance\nCommunity Involvement\nReferral Bonuses and Product Discounts\nBenefits vary by state, role type, and eligibility. \nFollow us on Social Media: \nInstagram: @curaleaf.usa\nTwitter: @Curaleaf_Inc\nLinkedIn: Curaleaf LinkedIn\nCuraleaf Holdings, Inc.
