You’ll lead and support projects that improve efficiency, safety, and product quality across our operations, whether that’s working in the lab, collaborating with cross-functional teams, or traveling to our facilities around the globe.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nDrive innovation in cannabis processing through technical contributions and creative problem-solving\nManage and support multiple engineering projects from planning to execution\nInstall, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical and lab equipment such as distillation systems, CO₂ and ethanol extractors, pumps, chillers, and more\nBuild and test experimental designs to support new product and process initiatives\nKeep detailed lab notes and documentation to ensure accurate tracking of experiments and discoveries\nCollaborate with other engineers to meet project goals and support team success\nPrioritize tasks and manage tight deadlines in a dynamic work environment\nWork independently with minimal supervision while balancing multiple responsibilities\nTravel frequently (75%+) to support engineering efforts at Curaleaf locations across the globe\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field\n2+ years of relevant experience in a hands-on technical or R&D role\nStrong mechanical aptitude, especially with plumbing, electrical, and lab equipment\nAbility to maintain confidentiality\nForensic understanding of MEP practices\nSolid understanding of the construction process\nComfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities\nWillingness and ability to travel 75%+ of the time\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nExperience with CAD, SolidWorks, and other design software\nA sharp eye for detail and a love for solving problems\nEven Better If You Have:\nFamiliarity or experience with project management.\nProven understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices\nFamiliarity with cannabinoid chemistry and processing\n PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear, use hands to finger or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and lift up to 25 lbs.
