Senior BI Engineer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data integration, with hands-on experience using Talend as a primary tool. Strong SQL skills are a plus. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, data-driven insights that empower business decisions.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable BI solutions, including data models, reports, and dashboards.
Utilize Talend for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensuring seamless data integration.
Lead efforts in gathering and analyzing business requirements to design BI solutions that meet specific needs.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to support data extraction and transformation.
Collaborate with data engineers to ensure proper data flow and integration into BI systems.
Validate and ensure the accuracy of data and reports, performing necessary data cleansing and quality checks.
Manage and enhance reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, optimizing performance.
Define key metrics and KPIs, and create reports to provide actionable insights for business teams.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership across BI initiatives.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, applying best practices to improve BI processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data integration, or data analytics.
Proficiency in Talend for data integration and ETL processes.
Strong skills in SQL and database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
Experience working in Agile environments and managing large-scale BI projects.
