We compound high quality non-sterile topical creams and ship them directly to patients in their homes.\nPharmacists are employed by Personalized Skin Solutions. Curology, Inc. provides administrative support to Personalized Skin Solution Pharmacists.\nPosition Overview\nThe Staff Pharmacit is responsible for processing non-sterile compounded prescriptions in the compounding laboratory. The Staff Pharmacist will split their time between compounding/lab and fulfillment. This role reviews prescriptions to ensure the prescriptions are dispensed in accordance with Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy requirements, as well as the directives of other Boards of Pharmacy served by Personalized Skin Solutions. This role ensures the safety of the team members that work in the vicinity of the compounding laboratory and fulfillment.\nEssential Functions\nComplies with all applicable federal and state pharmacy laws, including but not limited to: USP 800, USP 795, and Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy requirements.\nPerforms duties in compliance with Personalized Skin Solutions, Inc. standard operating procedures and best practices.\nIn general, ensures the quality and safety of dispensed compounded products and supplies.\nPerforms in-process and final checks of compounded products.\nMaintains licensure in good standing with all applicable states.\nEnsures medication is accurately labeled and packaged by fulfillment team members, prior to shipping.\nQuality checks medication units to ensure that the medication fulfills all state requirements prior to being dispensed to patients.\nEnsures medication is delivered to the address indicated by the patient.\nInterprets and clarifies prescription orders with prescribing practitioner(s) as necessary.\nEnsures all prescriptions meet dispensing requirements, prior to initiating the dispensing process.\nGenerates, prints and/or checks documents such master formulation records, batch records, compounding records, labels and shipping documents.\nPerforms random compounding process audits to ensure quality standards are achieved.\nOffers information and counsel, to prescribing practitioners, collaborating health care professionals and other employees, as appropriate.\nSafeguards operations and contents by establishing and monitoring safety procedures and quality control protocols.\nCommunicates with third party couriers to coordinate inbound/outbound shipments.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nProvides leadership and fosters positive employee relations through effective communication.\nOversees, guides and delegates tasks for up to 90 laboratory team members while promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.\nDirectly supervises pharmacy technicians involved in compounding processes, including but not limited to measuring components, safely operating equipment, and facility cleaning and disinfecting.\nEnsures all compounding logs and reports are completed efficiently, accurately and on time.\nInputs patient and prescription information and/or supervise such work as performed by others licensed to do so.\nRequirements\nWork Requirements\nThe Staff Pharmacist must be able to work in an industrial environment, standing and walking around as much as 90% of the day.\nMust be able to safely and effectively wear a respirator for an entire day, as necessary.\nMay need to lift as much as 40 lbs.\nLimited exposure to potentially hazardous substances.\nQualifications and Skills Minimum Requirements:\nPharmD or RPH degree from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy.\nRequired Licensure: Must have Pennsylvania resident pharmacist licensure, and be in good standing with the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy.\nAbility to become licensed and maintain licensure in good standing in all states that require non-resident pharmacist licensure.
