Join Current, a leading consumer fintech platform, as an Android Software Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for building the full suite of user experiences for our members, leveraging our proprietary backend banking core. You will work closely with our product, design, and backend engineering teams to enable new end-to-end experiences for our users. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of native Android development experience using Kotlin and a genuine interest in the personal finance space.

Missions

  • Contribuir al diseño y entrega de características desde el diseño del sistema hasta el lanzamiento, con el apoyo de ingenieros senior en el equipo.
  • Desarrollar y mantener aplicaciones móviles nativas, utilizando Kotlin, y trabajar en un código compartido por un equipo de ingenieros.
  • Participar en la creación de marcos móviles escalables y reutilizables que impulsen la consistencia del código y la velocidad de ingeniería.

Profil recherché

- The ideal candidate should have a few years of experience building native mobile applications and be ready to take on full ownership of features. This person should also be a motivated self-starter who feels at ease working through ambiguous challenges in a fast-paced environment

- A genuine interest in the personal finance space!

- 2+ years of native Android development, using Kotlin

- Working knowledge of Android fundamentals including component lifecycles, dependency injection (Hilt), multi-threading, persistence, and usage of Jetpack components (Compose, Material 3, Navigation, ViewModel, etc)

- Experience working in a codebase shared by a team of engineers, with a real code review culture

- Comfortable working within a modularized app architecture, including unidirectional data flows, MVVM, and use of Gradle modules

- Experience with profiling and optimizing UI performance (smooth animations, reducing jank, etc)

- Experience with using gRPC (Google Remote Procedure Call) and Protobuf (Protocol Buffers) schemas for networking

- Have published and maintained apps on the Google Play Store

- Experience migrating legacy XML/View code to Compose
