Join Current, a leading fintech company, as the Director of Analytics Engineering. In this high-impact leadership role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the Analytics Engineering and BI strategy, managing and growing a world-class Analytics Engineering team, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data assets. You will collaborate with leaders and stakeholders in different departments to translate business requirements into high-fidelity data models and drive the adoption of data models, customer data platform, business intelligence tooling, and reporting frameworks.
Missions
- Definir y dirigir la estrategia de Ingeniería de Análisis y BI, y ser responsable de la hoja de ruta y el P&L para el almacenamiento de datos, la modelización y la inteligencia empresarial en toda la organización.
- Actuar como ingeniero liderando con el ejemplo cuando sea necesario, optimizando SQL complejo, revisando diseños, modelos dbt, modelos de datos y solucionando problemas de canalización de alta prioridad.
- Gestionar y hacer crecer un equipo de Ingeniería de Análisis de clase mundial, definiendo trayectorias profesionales claras, realizando evaluaciones de rendimiento y fomentando una cultura de excelencia técnica y curiosidad por los datos.
Profil recherché
- Proven track record of building and scaling enterprise-grade Data Warehouses from the ground up. You have completed multiple full development lifecycles- Extensive experience building scalable data models and reporting layers in Looker (LookML) or similar enterprise BI tools
- You are comfortable toggling between strategic planning and a terminal window. You enjoy being "on the ground" with your team to solve complex problems
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders (e.g., Credit, Finance, and Executive teams)
- 10+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Data Architecture, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or management capacity
- Strong experience with cloud ecosystems like GCP or AWS
- You are passionate about mentorship and have experience defining roles, hiring top talent, and managing career growth in a fast-paced environment
- Deep mastery of Kimball/Star Schema methodologies and how to apply them to modern, high-velocity fintech data
- Expert-level SQL and performance tuning skills. Significant experience with dbt (preferred), BigQuery (or similar MPP like Snowflake), and orchestration tools like Airflow
- Intermediate to advanced level programming skills in Python or other languages
- Experience managing distributed or hybrid teams
- Direct experience in the Fintech or D2C domains
- Familiarity with data mesh or data contract methodologies
- Experience working with and managing a team in different time-zones
