The firm is committed to delivering exceptional client service, developing its people, and building lasting relationships with the businesses and communities it serves.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking an experienced Tax Partner to join our growing accounting and advisory firm. This individual will serve as a senior leader within the tax practice, providing strategic tax advice to a diverse client base while helping lead client relationships, develop talent, and grow the business. The Tax Partner will also play an important role in transitioning relationships from an existing partner and shaping the continued growth of the firm, particularly across our real estate, construction, closely held business, and individual client base.\nResponsibilities\nServe as a trusted advisor to clients on complex tax planning, consulting, and compliance matters.\n\nLead significant client relationships and engagements, ensuring high-quality execution and exceptional service.\n\nPartner with an existing senior partner to transition client relationships and responsibilities effectively.\n\nDevelop new business through existing relationships, referrals, networking, and other business-development activities.\n\nIdentify opportunities to expand relationships through additional tax, audit, and advisory services.\n\nLead, mentor, and develop tax professionals across multiple levels of the organization.\n\nCollaborate with other partners and firm leaders on strategic priorities, practice growth, and operational decisions.\n\nMaintain deep knowledge of evolving tax laws, regulations, and industry practices and provide technical guidance to clients and team members.\n\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications\n10+ years of progressive public accounting experience with significant tax expertise.\n\nCurrent or prior experience as a Partner, Managing Director, or comparable senior tax leader.\n\nActive CPA license.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\n\nStrong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local taxation.\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead complex client relationships and develop professional teams.\n\nStrong business-development capabilities and a track record of building and expanding client relationships.\n\nExcellent executive-level communication, judgment, and relationship-management skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nEstablished and transferable client relationships or book of business.\n\nExperience serving real estate, construction, closely held business, and/or high-net-worth clients.\n\nAdvanced tax degree or credential such as an MST or LLM.\n\nExperience succeeding in a growing, entrepreneurial accounting firm environment.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nThe total rewards package at Current includes base salary and benefits.\nOur salary ranges are competitive within the accounting industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry.
