Senior Tax Accountant

A senior tax accountant should be able to work independently, complete work accurately and in a timely manner, and establish workload priorities. In addition, a senior tax accountant should contribute to a team environment, assisting those around them.

Job Responsibilities:

· Preparation of complex business and individual returns

· Review responsibility of simple business and individual returns

· Experience with multi-state tax filings

· Experience with complex tax issues related to acquisitions and purchase price allocations

· Communicate directly with clients regarding tax and bookkeeping matters

· Work independently to manage your workload and client relationships

· Contribute to the growth of the practice by taking on additional responsibilities as needed

· Adhere to strict deadlines and maintain high-quality standards in all work products

· Stay current with tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices through CPE and research

· Deliver guidance on tax planning and financial strategies with businesses and individuals

· Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members as the team grows

Requirements Include:

· 2+ years of tax experience

· Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar

· CPA license or demonstrated progress towards obtaining CPA license, including required coursework

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, demonstrated experience or ability to act as in-charge of tax relationships

· Demonstrates ability to solve problems and complete projects
