You'll be the trusted voice managers and employees turn to for complex employee relations matters, keeping our HR operations running smoothly, and giving hands-on guidance to our HR Assistant along the way.\nPlease note this role will report into our CFO/COO.\nWhat you'll be doing\nEmployee Relations & HR Advice\nProvide practical, commercially focused HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.\nLead on complex employee relations matters - grievances, disciplinaries, capability, performance and complex absence cases - ensuring they're handled fairly, consistently and in line with policy and legislation.\nSupport investigations and prepare related documentation, letters and meeting materials, escalating high-risk cases to our external employment-law adviser where needed.\nMaintain accurate records of employee relations cases and ensure actions are followed through.\nHR Operations & Administration\nOversee the effective delivery of day-to-day HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding and absence management.\nPrepare and review contracts, letters and other HR documentation, keeping records and systems accurate and up to date.\nAssist with HR reporting, and ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated and applied consistently.\nKeep up to date with relevant employment legislation and HR best practice.\nManagement & Development of HR Assistant\nProvide day-to-day supervision, guidance and support to the HR Assistant, allocating and prioritising work to keep the function running effectively.\nReview work, provide constructive feedback and coaching, and support the HR Assistant's development across a broader range of HR activities.\nAct as the first point of escalation for more complex employee or manager queries.\nTraining, Health & Safety\nSupport the delivery and coordination of internal training and development activities, identifying requirements and working with managers on solutions.\nSupport HR and workplace compliance, including health & safety and fire safety administration, escalating significant concerns appropriately.\nOffice & Facilities Support\nProvide reasonable support with general office and facilities activities - supplies, suppliers and general office administration - though this remains supportive rather than the primary focus of the role.\nSkills, knowledge & expertise\nSignificant experience in a HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor role, with strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.\nExperience managing a range of employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinaries, capability and absence.\nConfident providing HR advice to managers, with sound judgement on sensitive or confidential matters.\nStrong written and verbal communication, organisation and prioritisation skills, with experience supporting or supervising a more junior team member.\nNice to have: CIPD qualification; experience in a small or standalone HR function working with external employment-law advisers; experience supporting health & safety, office/facilities, or employee training.\nWhy work at The Beauty Tech Group\nAt The Beauty Tech Group, we're redefining the future of beauty by bringing cutting edge technology into homes around the world.
