This role drives engineering excellence through product maintenance, engineering change management, warranty support, cost-reduction initiatives, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement efforts.\nThe successful candidate will partner closely with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sourcing, and external suppliers to ensure products continue to meet customer expectations while achieving cost, quality, and operational objectives.\nResponsibilities:\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of sustaining engineers, engineering coordinators, and project resources.\nEstablish priorities, allocate resources, and monitor project execution.\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nManage engineering support for existing product portfolios.\nLead resolution of product quality, reliability, warranty, and field performance issues.\nSupport manufacturing facilities with technical expertise and problem-solving.\nCoordinate corrective actions and design improvements as required.\nOversee the Engineering Change (EC) process for sustaining and product development activities.\nEnsure changes are properly evaluated, documented, communicated, and implemented.\nDrive timely closure of engineering and product maintenance activities.\nEducation and Work Experience:\nB.S. in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or equivalent\n6(+) years of experience in product development, sustaining engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related fields.\n2(+) years of experience in leadership or management experience. Preferred\nExperience supporting global engineering teams.\nPMP certification or equivalent project management experience. Preferred\nLean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.\nExperience with UL 1598 or equivalent experience. Preferred\nDirect experience with lighting or other electro-mechanical products is highly preferred.\nOptical experience with lighting is preferred.\nMust have a fundamental understanding of DC circuits (Ohm's law).\nAdditional Information:\nLess than 15% Travel Required\nCompensation\nThe position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more.
