At the heart of this job, you'll help educators discover and adopt high-quality instructional materials that are proven to improve student outcomes. In this role, the Specialist acts as a prospecting agent for both new and existing accounts, conducting outreach efforts through calls, trials, emails, and presenting online product demonstrations. Collaboration and communication are key as the role involves relationship-building, product expertise, and consultative conversations to drive revenue growth and mission impact.\nThis role is an excellent opportunity for former educators looking to transition into EdTech while continuing to make a meaningful impact on teaching and learning at scale.\nWhat you’ll do:\nBuild Educator Partnerships\nEffectively manage inbound leads, following defined processes and engagement models \nProactively reach out to decision makers, generating and advancing pipeline opportunities through the sales cycle \nConduct exploratory conversations to understand educator needs and deliver virtual product demonstrations\nConsistently meet or exceed activity and sales goals tied to quarterly bonuses \nCollaborate & Grow\nBuild product expertise and understanding of K-8 classroom challenges and trends \nMaintain accurate opportunity and customer data in CRM (Salesforce) \nPartner closely with territory Educational Sales Consultants and cross-functional teams \nRepresent the company at in-person conferences or school visits \nGather competitive information and share market insights with internal teams to inform strategy \nWho we’re looking for:\nYou don't need a traditional sales background to thrive here - many of our strongest performers came straight from the classroom. What matters most:\nCustomer-centric mindset with a background in teaching, sales, or customer success\nAbility to translate classroom experience into consultative conversations with educators, understanding instructional needs and connecting them to solutions \nResults-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability \nExcellent communication and presentation skills \nProficiency with essential business applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and chat-based AI tools, with experience with Salesforce (CRM) preferred but not required \nStrong curiosity and the ability to quickly learn new products and processes \nComfort with decision-making, accountability and managing multiple priorities \nFlexible thinking to pivot, adjust and strategize \nDemonstrates integrity, ethical standards, and professionalism \nA genuine passion for improving education and supporting teachers and students\nRequired Education and Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree \n3-5 years of work experience with a background in sales, customer service, or K-12 education (or a combination)-teaching experience is highly valued and considered directly relevant \nOr a combination of education and experience that proves competencies required for the role. Transferrable skills and/or relevant expertise is preferred. \nEmployee Journey:\nHybrid Model: We operate with an intentional hybrid approach that balances in-office collaboration (1-2 days/week) with flexibility to work from home. Ongoing learning and development along with mentorship prepare employees for new challenges, products and territories with the opportunity to move into advanced roles over time.\nWe are seeking candidates that live in the Phoenix, AZ area\nPay Range - This role’s range is $51,250 - $84,250. The wage range for this role takes into account the range of factors in making compensation decisions based on Curriculum Associates’ Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.\nBenefits - Benefit eligible employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
