We take pride in the positive impact we make on the world around us and have delivered practical and innovative solutions for over 60 years, building a better future for everyone.\nJoining Curtins means more than just being involved in project delivery - it means becoming part of a warm and welcoming team, where your skills can evolve, your career is nurtured and we work together to create a lasting legacy.\nThe Role\nYou will be working under the supervision of Engineers and Technicians in the production of drawing information using both AutoCAD and REVIT platforms. \nYou will be responsible for:\nDelivering production information within defined project timescales\n\nDelivering a variety of drawing information including, but not limited to GA’s, Sections, RC Detailing, Drainage and Structures.\n\nAssisting Engineers and Technicians in delivering design projects\n\nManaging and co-ordinating electronic filing structures for CAD drawings and REVIT models\n\nLiaising with other construction professionals in the development of drawing information\n\nWorking within company BIM protocols and standards\n\nWorking within company CAD standards\n\nSkills and Abilities:\nEffective communication skills\n\nGood problem-solving skills\n\nGood numeracy and computer skills\n\nDesigning on computers and creating drawings\n\nExploring and understanding what a computer program can do\n\nFinding practical and innovative solutions to design problems.\n\nPersonal Qualities:\nSelf-motivated\n\nInterested in the built environment and the construction industry\n\nA sound knowledge of engineering design principles\n\nA knowledge of material properties\n\nAn understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods\n\nCreative flair\n\nThe ability to work as part of a team\n\nThe ability to meet deadlines.\n\nAbove all the right fit will be guided by what is right when making decisions, who recognises the contribution of others and shares their successes. Someone who is kind, conscientious and has pride in their work and the legacy our profession leaves for everyone.\nLevel\nThis is a Level 4 Apprenticeship. On completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will have satisfied the requirements for registration as an Engineering Technician by the relevant professional engineering institution in accordance with the requirements of the Engineering Council as the registration body.\nEntry Requirements\nMinimum 4 GCSEs at Grades A*-C/4-9 including Maths, English and Science or their equivalent.\nA BTEC Extended Diploma, Diploma, Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship or 2 “A” Levels in a relevant subject such as Maths and Science.\nAlternative qualifications may also be considered.\nApprentices without level 2 English and Maths will need to have achieved this before taking the end point assessment.
