Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.\nWe Take Care of Our People\nPaid Time Off I 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing I Health and Wellness Benefits I Learning and Development Opportunities I Referral Program I Competitive Pay I Recognition I Employee Stock Purchase Plan I Inclusive & Supportive Culture\nYour Challenge\nDevelop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that align with company objectives for cost, quality, delivery, and risk mitigation.\n\nIdentify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard new domestic and international suppliers.\n\nLead the supplier selection process including RFQ’s, commercial evaluations, negotiations, and supplier recommendations.\n\nBuild and manage supplier relationships as the primary commercial point of contact, driving performance in cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness and commercial execution.\n\nNegotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, lead times, and long-term supply agreements.\n\nPartner with Engineering to review technical drawings, specifications, BOMs, and manufacturing requirements to source and qualify suppliers for fabricated, machined, cast, forged, welded, electrical, or custom-engineered components.\n\nLead sourcing activities through the entire project lifecycle, supporting New Product Introduction by identifying and qualifying suppliers early in the design process through production launch\n\nDrive supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery performance, capacity, and operational excellence.\n\nConduct supplier market research and identify alternative sources to reduce sole-source risk.\n\nDrive cost optimization through total cost of ownership analysis, value engineering, should-cost analysis, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.\n\nMonitor global supply markets, geopolitical risks, tariffs, logistics constraints, and commodity trends.\n\nMaintain accurate supplier and sourcing data within the ERP system.\n\nTravel domestically and internationally as required to support supplier evaluations, business reviews, and strategic initiatives.\n\nExecute purchasing activities by placing and managing purchase orders, monitoring supplier commitments, and reviewing material requirements to ensure continuity of supply and on-time delivery.\n\nSupport inventory management by balancing material availability, supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, safety stock requirements, and working capital objectives.\n\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.\n\n5+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.\n\nDemonstrated experience developing sourcing strategies for engineered or technical commodities.\n\nExperience sourcing from both domestic and international suppliers.\n\nExperience developing supplier relationships and evaluating manufacturing capabilities and production processes\n\nExperience in leading complex sourcing projects involving multiple cross-functional stakeholders.\n\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.\n\nStrong negotiations and contract management skills.\n\nStrong analytical, project management and organizational skills including cost modeling and the ability to manage multiple priorities\n\nMust be a U.S. Citizen\n\nWho We Are\nOur Values\nEnvironmental, Social and Governance\nCurtiss-Wright Arresting Systems / ESCO, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright's EMS Division, is a world leader in emergency arresting systems for military aircraft.
