Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.\nLocation: Farmingdale, NY\nYour Challenge\nDigital & Embedded Circuit Design\nTranslate product-level requirements into implementable digital circuits and complete schematic designs\nDesign mixed-signal and digital circuits for embedded systems, including interfacing of Processors/DSP, FPGA/CPLD, Flash, RAM and related memory and logic devices\nCapture schematics and create symbol designs from manufacturer part data sheets: build and maintain the component databook/library\nPCB/PWB Layout & Routing\nLead PWB Design and layout, creating part types and PCB decals from part data sheets\nCreate board outlines from industry specifications including PCI, VME and VPX form factors.\nDefine routing instructions in collaboration with the design and development team for high-speed signals and differential pairs, including Ethernet and Serial RapidIO (SRIO), with attention to controlled impedance, stack-up and isolation.\nGenerate STP files and interface with mechanical engineering for PWB form, fit, thermal and mounting considerations.\nAssembly, Programming & Documentation\nProvide PWA input for views and part lists for design and development (D&D)\nCreate specification & source control drawings (SCD)\nWrite detailed customer reports and technical deliverables\nBuild, Test & Production Transition\nWork collaboratively with hardware engineering to build and execute test plans that measure system performance, validate design performance and support product qualification.\nTransition designs to manufacturing by providing complete design packages that enable production build\nCoordinate and communicate with management regarding schedule, milestones and technical status.\nWhat You Bring\nBS in Electrical Engineering (or similar) required, with 10+ years of relevant experience in circuit board design\nUS Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance\nExperience designing digital and mixed-signal circuits for embedded system in high-reliability environments.\nProficiency with design software for schematic capture, PWB layout and routing. \nHands-on experience interfacing DSP, FPGA, Flash and RAM with a solid understanding of communication protocols.\nAbility to perform low-level PCB troubleshooting and debug, and to write and develop test cases\nNice to have\nMaster’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or similar) preferred\nExperience with MIL-DTL-23200 requirements\nExperience with AS9100 requirements and process flow\nExperience with schematic capture with PADS Design, PWB layout with PADS Layout and routing with PADS Router.\nExperience with writing VHDL code, simulation, debugging capability and FPGA design for high assurance products\nExperience with the Agile Development Process and the Atlassian Tool Suite\nExperience with ANSI/VITA VPX Standards related to Circuit Card and Backplane Design\nNo unsolicited agency submittals please.
