Negotiates and administers complex purchase orders and agreements. Issues and administers purchase orders, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable Federal, state, and/or local regulations concerning the purchase or shipment of goods, materials or services. \nDrives supplier selection. Conducts supplier site visits and rates them as to production capability, performance and delivery. \nManage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring (cost, quality, delivery) and corrective action implementation. Proactively addresses issues and escalates as needed.\nResolves complex invoice discrepancies, receiving issues and supplier disputes. \nMaintains accurate and complete procurement records. \nCollaborates with internal stakeholders including manufacturing, planning, and engineering departments to ensure alignment with program schedules and requirements. \nDrives cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. \nWhat you bring:\nBachelor Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field and 5-7 years of purchasing experience preferably in a manufacturing environment\nAdvanced working knowledge of contract law and business terms and conditions.\nGovernment procurement experience preferred.\nAbility to make decisions or suggestions based on rules or procedures.\nProblem solving skills in situations in which prior experience with similar problems has shown which choice is most appropriate, selecting from known alternatives.\nExperience with ERP Systems with Oracle ERP system preferred.\nProficient in Excel and Microsoft Office programs.\nOrganized, self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented; ability to multi-task.\nHave a good sense for priority setting and time management; ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.\nAbility to work individually with minimal supervision or with a team.\nBuild and maintain effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers and auditors\nStrong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.\nKeen attention to detail and accuracy.\nDue to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.\nNo unsolicited agency submittals please.
