The Electrical Engineering Manager reports to the Director of Engineering and is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of high precision circuit cards and design assurance firmware. We are seeking resourceful candidates that enjoy the challenges of technical management while being able to provide leadership and direction with a changing landscape.\nSalary Information: $175,000 - $195,000\nPlease note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in New York. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.\nYour Challenge:\nManage a team of engineers providing guidance, mentorship and support to ensure quality designs\n\nOversee department performance evaluations, promotions and compensation\n\nSupervise the design, development, testing and deployment of high-precision VPX circuit cards and design assurance firmware on time and within budget\n\nCollaborate with other engineering disciplines for design architecture, implementation and integration of FPGA/SoC based DSP processing on circuit cards\n\nProvide discipline level inputs to proposals\n\nEvaluate and deploy tools to assist in efficient electrical and firmware design in a continuous improvement mindset\n\nGrow the MBSE modelling capability of the department to support the overall need for MBSE models of all future products\n\nProvide guidance and assist in troubleshooting of multi-discipline design issues\n\nYour Expertise:\nMinimum of 5 years of experience leading or managing a team of individual contributors\n\nMinimum of 10 years of electrical engineering design, development and test experience\n\nExperience in leading a team or department of Electrical Engineers in the development, testing and integration of circuit cards with associated firmware and software designs\n\nAbility to manage a team of engineers providing coaching, guidance, mentoring and support to ensure quality designs\n\nTechnical expertise to manage those involved with design, development, modification and analysis of various electronic systems including power electronics, circuit design and firmware\n\nExcellent technical writing and communication skills\n\nExcellent analysis and decision-making skills\n\nExcellent time management skills\n\nExperience with VHDL and Verilog FPGA Design including DSP\n\nExperience with GIT, SourceTree and Jira\n\nExperience operating/managing in an Agile Development environment\n\nExperience with Circuit Card design\n\nExperience with writing Python and C/C++ software a benefit\n\nUS Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance\n\nBSEE/BSCE required\n\nMSEE/MSCE preferred\n\nNo unsolicited agency submittals please.
