Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.\nYour Challenge:\nProvide multi-layered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.\n\nProvide system architecture definition based on required functionality.\n\nConceives system interfaces and business application prototypes.\n\nWrite requirements.\n\nAnalyze requirements and develop design alternatives.\n\nInfluences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems.\n\nDesign, develop and test new embedded hardware.\n\nSupport and enhance existing embedded hardware.\n\nApply established development processes and assist in process improvement.\n\nDevelop test procedures and execute verification testing\n\nGenerate complete and accurate user and design documentation.\n\nPerform/coordinate various analyses in support of detailed design of components, major assemblies, software and systems.\n\nDesign of high-speed hardware including schematic capture and layout\n\nReview and validation of high-speed designs and layouts\n\nProvide input and evaluation of new technologies and products.\n\nIdentifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses.\n\nProvide task breakdowns and accurate estimates for project planning.\n\nProvide mentoring for junior engineering staff.\n\nAssist in maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere within the team.\n\nLiaise with customers.\n\nYour Expertise:\nSKILLS\nStrong sense of responsibility, commitment to quality and achieving deadlines.\n\nKnowledge of computer engineering processes and standards.\n\nExcellent ability to understand, break down and analyze system level requirements\n\nStrong understanding of system engineering concepts and systematic problem-solving skills\n\nWell versed in the latest rugged/embedded technologies commonly utilized in the defense/aerospace industry\n\nAble to quickly and effectively resolve complex engineering problems\n\nSolid communication, presentation and organizational skills\n\nAbility to think outside the box and systematically deal with highly dynamic engineering situations\n\nStrong debug/integration/troubleshooting experience -- act as a leader and a sounding board for the department\n\nWell versed in Microsoft Office Suite\n\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE\nBachelors in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 10 years' experience.\n\nExperience in the following is an asset:\nEmbedded Hardware knowledge and experience with processor systems (Intel, ARM, PIC, Atmel, NXP)\n\nStrong knowledge of hardware interfaces and buses like Ethernet, PCIe, PCI, Fibre Channel, I2C, SPI, USB\n\nValidation and production test methodologies.\n\nReading/understanding IC datasheets, board schematics.\n\nDiagnostic tools like Digital Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, DVMs, etc.\n\nProject management\n\nFPGA development using hardware descriptor languages such as Verilog or VHDL is an asset\n\nHardware design with Altium\n\nCybersecurity and NIAP Common Criteria is a bonus\n\nUS citizen required\n\nWhat we offer:\nCurtiss-Wright is proud to offer our employees a comprehensive total rewards package:\nCompetitive Pay\n\nHealth and wellness benefits, including medical, dental, life insurance and more\n\nSavings opportunities for retirement, with an opportunity to become a shareholder\n\nLearning and development opportunities\n\nRecognition for your contributions\n\nAbout Us:\nData Solutions in Dayton, Ohio prides itself on experience, expertise, and low risk solutions.
