Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.\nYour Challenge:\nUnder minimal supervision, follow production documentation and drawings to assemble wiring components and achieve final configuration to produce the company's wire and cable products according to the schedule. Work is semi-routine in nature, following established procedures.\nBuild cable harnesses per instruction such as cutting, stripping, and crimping. Tinning and soldering wires to pins where applicable, insertion of pins onto wires, installation of connector pins, install various components and connectors, labeling of finished harness assembly.\nRoutes and ties wires to form wire harnesses and cables used in electrical and electronic equipment or systems.\nNeatly bind wires together using sleeves, cable lacing, cable ties, heat shrink tubing.\nConduct continuity testing for each wire assembly and conduct harness testing using special fixture.\nTroubleshoot and repair failed cables.\nInspection and testing of finished goods, incoming inspection, testing\nAssemble components to a final configured product utilizing specialized tooling and fixtures, measuring equipment, production documentation and visual aids.\nRead instructions and interpret schematic diagrams.\nUses of various hand tools, equipment, and their hands.\nBasic soldering skills.\nOperate a computer terminal to look up drawings and administrative requirements.\nCreate and improve production documentation.\nVerify quality of product at the required intervals and verify accuracy of all work.\nAssist engineers with new product development and implementation.\nProvide training and support to Junior assemblers as required.\nAssist with assembly of electronic enclosures and main assembly of products as secondary responsibility.\nOther duties as assigned\nWhat You Bring:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent is required.\nProficiency of crimping and assembly through a minimum 2-3 year's work experience in wire/cable assembly or similar mechanical assembly. 4-6 years preferred\nMust be able to discern cable colors, color codes.\nMust have adequate dexterity in hands and fingers to manipulate small parts.\nRead and interpret drawings and process documents, and set-up equipment.\nMust be able to act upon verbal and written instruction from the Supervisor and Hardware Engineer.\nMust have a thorough working knowledge of all hand and power tools including basic hand tools for cutting, stripping, and crimping, a continuity checker.\nWho We Are\nOur Values\nEnvironmental, Social and Governance\nJoin the WRIGHT Team!\nCurtiss-Wright Defense Solutions is a force multiplier that enables Aerospace and Defense programs to integrate and deploy next-generation technology faster, reducing program and integration risk through deep subsystem expertise and open architectures, while delivering capability that is ready now and built to perform for decades.\nNo unsolicited agency submittals please.
