You'll own the move of each new customer's data from their previous system into Curve, working directly with the practice and our Implementation team from kickoff through go-live.\nThis is a hands-on technical role where you'll extract, map, clean, transform, and load real-world dental data, and help customers understand what to expect at every step.\nWe move quickly, collaborate closely, and take ownership. Whether you're untangling an unfamiliar legacy database, walking a customer through a data review, or troubleshooting an issue after go-live, you'll be expected to jump in and see it through.\nThis is an opportunity to shape a new customer's first experience with Curve, and to make sure no patient's history gets left behind.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a Data Conversion Specialist, you'll work alongside our Data Services, Implementation, and Customer Support teams to bring each new customer's data into Curve accurately and on time.\nYou'll own each conversion from start to finish.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nOwning each customer conversion end to end. You’ll work closely with the implementation team to scope the project, build the plan, communicate the timeline, own the deliverable, check the accuracy and completeness. \nEnsuring the customer has clear expectations on the process and timeline. While this information is primarily delivered by the Implementation team, you are not afraid to jump on the occasional customer call. \nExtracting data from customers' legacy practice management systems, then profiling and assessing it to understand what needs to move and how\nBuilding field mappings and test plans, and securing customer approval before conversion\nCleaning and transforming data using SQL, Excel, and conversion tools, then loading it into Curve and verifying it against the source\nFollowing quality assurance processes before and after release to production, and moving converted instances into production\nDiagnosing and resolving data issues during and after conversion\nDocumenting mapping decisions, exceptions, and approvals, and keeping all customer interactions and CRM records up to date\nUpdating conversion documentation as you discover better methods or new edge cases in source systems, and suggesting tooling or automation that makes conversions faster and more accurate\nSupporting occasional go-live conversions outside normal business hours\nHelping other teams with data questions and taking on other duties as needed\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're looking for a detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys working with data and can explain technical work clearly to the people who depend on it.\nRequired Qualifications\nDegree, diploma, or certificate in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience\n1+ years of experience working with data in a technical, analytical, or customer-facing role\nStrong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables; macros a plus\nExperience working with relational databases\nStrong attention to detail and the discipline to follow quality assurance processes on every conversion\nClear written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to manage multiple conversions at once and deliver on scheduled go-live dates\nThrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces ownership, and enjoys solving difficult data problems\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with one or more of the following:\nDental, medical, or other healthcare data\nDental practice management systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental\nETL or data quality tools, or scripting in Python or a similar language\nLegacy or flat-file databases such as Btrieve or c-tree\nData profiling, data mapping, and data quality analysis\nPatient data privacy requirements, such as HIPAA in the US or PIPEDA in Canada\nWorking knowledge of SQL, including writing queries, joins, and data transformations\nCustomer onboarding or implementation in a SaaS environment","description_format":"text","description_chars":4239,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":1,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Practice Management Software"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-24T01:48:57Z"}],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":3,"expected_fill_days":30,"reasons":["conf:3","velocity","win:early","comp:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-09-27T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/curve-dental-data-conversion-specialist","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/curve-dental-data-conversion-specialist.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-28T01:09:43Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":700,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":4300,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-09-29T00:00:00Z"}}}
