Forward with Cuscal.\n As our Financial Crimes Analyst, you’ll analyse complex data to identify, prevent and respond to fraud and emerging financial crime threats across payment and digital banking channels.\nWorking within our Financial Crime Analytics & Advisory team, you’ll use data-driven insights to improve monitoring strategies, strengthen controls and support positive outcomes for Cuscal and our clients.\nYou’ll also make an impact by:\nAnalysing transactional, behavioural and intelligence data to identify fraud and emerging financial crime risks\n\nDeveloping and optimising fraud detection rules across cards, digital wallets, real-time payments, PayTo, BPAY and Direct Entry\n\nConducting network analysis, merchant reviews and complex investigations\n\nUsing Power BI, Databricks, SQL and Excel to identify trends and provide actionable insights\n\nReviewing fraud controls and recommending improvements to strengthen detection capabilities\n\nMonitoring fraud detection performance including detection rates and false positive ratios\n\nSupporting the implementation and validation of new data sets, AI models and machine learning models\n\nProviding insights on current fraud typologies and trends to internal stakeholders and clients\n\nEscalating significant incidents, risks and emerging threats to management\n\nContributing to continuous improvement across fraud monitoring processes and operational outcomes\n\n What You’ll Bring\nTo succeed in this role, you’ll have:\nExperience in operational fraud or financial crime management\n\nStrong analytical capability with experience working across large and complex data sets\n\nExperience using fraud detection systems including writing or optimising fraud rules\n\nDemonstrated ability to turn data into clear insights and recommendations\n\nAdvanced Power BI and Excel skills\n\nIntermediate Databricks and SQL experience\n\nStrong critical thinking, investigation and problem-solving skills\n\nThe ability to work collaboratively and communicate insights clearly to different stakeholders\n\nYou’ll stand out from the crowd if you have:\nAt least two years of experience across fraud or financial crime\n\nExperience within banking, financial services, payments or merchant acquiring\n\nTertiary studies in fraud, financial crime or criminology\n\nQualifications or practical exposure related to data science or machine learning\n\n Why Cuscal?\nAt Cuscal, you’ll find a strong, successful company that’s reimagining the future.
