However, the position offers exposure to a broad range of asset classes, including office, industrial, logistics, retail and mixed-use developments.\nThe position works closely with clients, project managers, consultants and contractors, providing strategic commercial advice and contributing to the successful delivery of projects.\nCost management services will be performed under the guidance of the Cost Management Lead, and other senior colleagues within the Project and Development Services (PDS) Team.\nAs part of this role, we would offer guidance and support to becoming a RICS recognized Chartered Surveyor (MRICS).\nJob Description\nThe Cost Manager is responsible for providing professional cost management services throughout the entire project lifecycle, while ensuring effective commercial control and financial reporting.\nKey responsibilities:\nPrepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), cost plans and target budgets across all project stages.\nAdvise clients on procurement strategy, contracts and commercial risk.\nManage procurement and tender processes, including tender documentation, bid evaluation, reporting and procurement recommendations.\nProduce monthly cost reports, cash-flow forecasts, accruals and benchmarking analyses, advising clients on cost performance.\nManage change control, value engineering and cost-saving initiatives, while maintaining project quality and commercial records.\nReview contractor valuations, payment applications and invoices, and support payment certification and contract administration.\nMentoring junior colleagues and representing the commercial function in project meetings.\nKnowledge & Experience:\nDegree in Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a comparable discipline.\nApproximately 2-7 years of professional experience in cost management, quantity surveying or commercial management within the construction industry.\nStrong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant cost management software.\nKnowledge of AI Tools and desire to develop job efficiencies and improve services through utilization.\nGerman and English language skills.\nHigh level of initiative, commercial awareness, and commitment to delivering excellent client service.\nWhat we offer:\nEarly assumption of responsibility, flat hierarchies and an international and modern working environment, attractive and performance-related remuneration, flexible working hours, 30 vacation days plus special leave days, further training and development opportunities, company pension scheme.\nPlease note, we do not consider applications per E-mail.\nWe foster a culture of inclusion that embraces the unique strengths, perspectives, and experiences of all our employees.
