This position performs maintenance work related to building systems, doors, hardware, locking systems, key management, and access control equipment while assisting skilled trades personnel in maintaining a safe, secure, and functional environment for building occupants.Job Description\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nGeneral Building Maintenance\nPerform routine building maintenance and repair activities, including painting, drywall repair, carpentry, flooring, ceiling systems, and restroom fixtures.\nRespond to occupant service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.\nAssist in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.\nPerform preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential maintenance concerns.\nMaintain inventory of repair materials, tools, and supplies.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.\nAssist other maintenance trades and contractors as needed.\nSecurity Systems and Door Hardware\nInstall, repair, adjust, and maintain doors, frames, closers, panic hardware, locks, and related architectural hardware.\nRe-key locks and maintain building key systems as directed.\nDuplicate and issue keys in accordance with facility security procedures.\nTroubleshoot and repair mechanical locking devices and door hardware.\nAssist with the maintenance and operation of card access, electronic access control, and security systems.\nInspect doors, hardware, and security-related equipment to ensure proper operation and code compliance.\nCoordinate lock and access changes to support facility security requirements.\nAssist in maintaining records related to keys, access devices, and security hardware inventory.\nSafety and Compliance\nFollow all safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout requirements.\nMaintain compliance with campus and organizational security standards.\nReport safety hazards, security concerns, and maintenance deficiencies to management.\nParticipate in emergency response activities and after-hours support as required.\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nMinimum five (5) years of experience in commercial facility maintenance, building operations, or related trades.\nValid driver's license required.\nExperience with door hardware, locking systems, access control, or physical security systems preferred.\nBasic computer skills required.\nAbility to read and understand maintenance manuals, work orders, and technical documentation.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nGeneral knowledge of building maintenance practices and facility systems.\nWorking knowledge of door hardware, locking systems, and access control equipment.\nAbility to perform preventative maintenance and general repairs.\nStrong customer service and communication skills.\nAbility to prioritize multiple assignments and work independently.\nAbility to establish and maintain positive working relationships with facility occupants, vendors, and team members.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds routinely and up to 100 pounds occasionally.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work from elevated locations for extended periods.\nAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.\nAbility to safely operate hand and power tools required for maintenance and security hardware installation.\nCushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.
