The Engineer will accurately and perform timely routine operation, inspection, maintenance, and repairs all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment, and systems in assigned facilities to obtain the most efficient operating results and life expectancy. Can include HVAC, boiler, heating, refrigeration, water, and energy systems to ensure the effective operation of the client facility.Position assures that equipment is being maintained in an energy-efficient and safe manner, and downtime is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs and maintaining records of past operating experiences. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. The Engineer will perform at the highest of ethical standards, reflecting the core values of C&W as defined in its Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures Manual, and other related company policies.\nJob Description\n**** This Mobile Building Engineer will service multiple buildings in the Houston, TX area***\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\n\nTrade school or apprentice program preferred\n\nExperience\nMinimum 4+ years technical building engineering experience\n\nStrong background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, equipment repair, and system maintenance\n\nLicenses & Certifications\nValid state driver’s license\n\nApplicable trade licenses (e.g., Journeyman/Master Electrician, Operators License, Steam Engineer, City licenses as required)\n\nEPA Universal (Section 608) certification for CFC/HFC refrigerants\n\nSkills & Abilities\nOperation/maintenance of HVAC, boilers, pumps, refrigerant systems, gas/water systems\n\nKnowledge of energy management systems\n\nStrong understanding of building systems operations and repair\n\nExcellent customer service and communication skills\n\nBasic proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word; ability to use smartphones/tablets, upload PDFs, join virtual meetings\n\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and building systems\n\nMajor HVAC and plumbing repairs (compressors, coils, piping, fixtures, etc.)\n\nElectrical work (conduit, cables, panels, motors)\n\nMaintain and repair boilers, pumps, air compressors, water systems, sewer systems\n\nOperate and maintain building automation systems\n\nInspect facilities and report conditions\n\nMaintain inventory, follow safety protocols, and comply with all codes/regulations\n\nParticipate in emergencies and occasional light travel during events\n\nComplete required safety training and maintain all necessary licenses\n\nVehicle & Travel\nCompany vehicle provided\n\nEngineer responsible for vehicle maintenance and processing expenses through C&W vendor (Element)\n\nRegular driving between sites (up to 4-5 hours/day)\n\nMay require entry into CEV (Controlled Environmental Vault) locations with strict safety protocols\n\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequent standing, climbing, stooping, crouching\n\nAbility to lift 50 lbs\n\nWork may include exposure to noise, extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust, or fumes\n\nWork performed both indoors and outdoors across multiple properties\n\nCushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.
