This role focuses on ensuring security, governance, stability, and continuous improvement of enterprise financial processes, including financial consolidation, close, reporting, forecasting, planning, and analysis (xP&A).Working closely with Product Managers, Finance leaders, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams, the Senior Financial Systems Engineer designs, develops, and implements scalable solutions that improve automation, data quality, reporting capabilities, and financial decision-making. Serving as both a technical expert and strategic business partner, this individual translates business requirements into sustainable OneStream solutions through application configuration, business rules, integrations, and platform enhancements.\nJob Description\nResponsibilities\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Master Data Management, and IT stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.\nDrive the delivery of scalable solutions that align with strategic business objectives and enterprise finance transformation initiatives.\nCollaborate with Product Managers and business users to define requirements, prioritize enhancements, and support roadmap execution.\nApplication Configuration & Governance\nConfigure and maintain OneStream metadata, business rules, workflows, dashboards, reporting objects, and application settings.\nEnsure adherence to governance standards, development best practices, and change management processes.\nSupport platform upgrades, releases, and ongoing optimization initiatives.\nFinancial Close & Reporting Support\nProvide system support during monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles.\nParticipate in consolidation processes, workflow execution, reporting deliverables, and issue resolution to ensure timely and accurate financial results.\nPartner with Finance teams to identify and resolve data, process, and report discrepancies.\nPlatform Ownership & Administration\nAdminister and maintain OneStream environments, including Development, Test/Pre-Production, and Production.\nMonitor system performance, availability, and operational health while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.\nCoordinate deployments and migration activities across environments.\nSecurity, Controls & Compliance\nSupport management of application security, role-based access controls, segregation of duties, and user provisioning processes.\nPerform periodic access reviews and support internal and external audit activities.\nEnsure compliance with corporate governance policies, regulatory requirements, and security standards.\nTechnical Leadership & Problem Resolution\nServe as the point of technical escalation for complex application, data, consolidation, and integration issues.\nPerform root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions to prevent recurring problems.\nDocument system solutions, support procedures, and technical standards.\nPlanning, Forecasting & Analytics (xP&A)\nSupport and enhance budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, planning, and analytical capabilities within OneStream.\nDevelop solutions that improve planning accuracy, reporting efficiency, and management insights.\nPartner with business stakeholders to expand adoption of xP&A capabilities across the organization.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.\n3+ years of experience supporting enterprise financial systems, performance management platforms, or financial close and consolidation applications.\nStrong understanding of financial consolidation, close, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes.\nExperience configuring and supporting OneStream or comparable Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platforms.\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on experience with OneStream, Oracle Hyperion, or other EPM solutions.\nExperience with application integrations, data management, workflow design, and data quality controls.\nKnowledge of financial governance, internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements.\nExperience with system performance tuning and optimization.\nDevelopment experience using C#, .NET, or related technologies.\nExperience supporting SaaS-based enterprise applications and cloud environments.\nKey Competencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to perform
