The role is responsible for ensuring all financial data and reporting is complete, accurate and complies with Global, Regional and Local legislation, regulation, polices and processes.The role is responsible for all aspects of Finance Controllership delivery for the Netherlands including external and internal audits plus full oversight and management review of all accounting activities impacting the entities within scope. The individual should proactively adopt the outsourced finance operating model and core technology and support driving efficient, effective, aligned processes.\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities:\nClose & Reporting\nResponsible for accurate, timely, monthly closing of the books (in US Gaap) in accordance with Global & EMEA deadlines, policies and compliance requirements.\nResponsible for the timely production, management review, variance explanations, query resolution and sign off of all reporting and disclosures requirements.\nBalance Sheet Control\nPerform monthly reviews of balance reconciliations in accordance with Group reporting requirements\nRevenue Recognition & Debtors\nPerform contract reviews where required and support the execution of accurate revenue recognition control\nEnsure bad debt allowances are in accordance with policy and support the achievement of DSO targets\nAudits & Statutory Financial Statements\nSupport production, review, approval and filing of all local statutory accounts (Dutch GAAP) within the local filing deadlines.\nSupport local statutory audits\nCompliance & Control\nResponsible for ensuring financial controls are performed and appropriately designed\nSupport all SOX controls (including SOX 302 sub-certification process)\nCollaboration with other stakeholders\nCollaboration with all internal (BPO, HR, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Senior Management) and external stakeholders (auditors, legal and tax advisors)\nProcess improvements\nSupport improvements to processes and controls that ensure data is recorded accurately and on a timely basis, including change management and training\nSkills and Experience:\nExperience in managing month end close process within a BPO / Shared service model\nExperience managing audits and statutory accounts process - audit background and SOX control experience preferred\nFinancial management experience with a proven ability to translate financial data into commercial language\nPossesses deep understanding of controllership activities within the context of a global professional services business\nPost qualification experience of more than 10 years\nKnowledge and expertise of US Gaap\nEffective communication skills in English, both oral and written, Dutch is of an advantage\nPreferred: knowledge of core reporting systems, HFM & Workday, Essbase, Local Gaap/IFRS, SOX\nWhat we offer:\nEarly assumption of responsibility, flat hierarchies and an international and modern working environment, attractive and performance-related remuneration, flexible working hours, 30 vacation days, further training and development opportunities, company pension scheme.\nPlease note, we do not consider applications per E-mail.\nWe foster a culture of inclusion that embraces the unique strengths, perspectives, and experiences of all our employees.
