About the Role As a Backend Developer, you'll be responsible for building, testing, deploying, and maintaining reliable backend systems. You'll understand the business context behind features, write maintainable code, and contribute to a strong engineering culture. What You'll Do

• Work across the software development lifecycle from analysis through deployment and maintenance.
• Design and develop backend functionality using Python and Django.
• Write structured, maintainable code with clear documentation and technical design.
• Build solutions that cover use cases, testing, integration, and production quality.
• Work with SQL or NoSQL databases and integrate components into functional systems.
• Use user feedback and production insights to improve stability and usability.
• Prepare technical documentation and training material for new engineers.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver high-quality features. Must-Have
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Backend Developer, or relevant role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Django.
• Understanding of OOP, persistence, threading, data structures, and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted code generation and tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
• Ability to work collaboratively with strong communication skills. Good to Have
• Open-source project experience.
• Experience designing interactive applications.
• Prior experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or OpenStack.
• Experience working in a startup environment. Success in This Role
