As a vital part of our Materials Management team, you will be responsible for monitoring and helping control the inventory at the determined pharmacy level. A team standard is to maintain a positive and pleasant demeanor with all vendors and colleagues while accurately fulfilling necessary pharmacy and business materials daily.\nHiring Manager - Michael Irk, Transition Manager\nResponsibilities:\nMonitor inventory levels by utilizing calculated reorder points.\nEnsure sufficient quantities on hand daily in a just in time (JIT) inventory environment.\nMake recommendations for replenishing inventory through cost-cutting initiatives.\nAdhere to purchasing guidelines set forth with multiple vendors simultaneously.\nPlace inventory orders daily by vendor-determined timeframe. Utilize purchasing platform (Surecost) to timely order appropriate medications.\n Order medications and supplies online, by phone, or fax.\n\nReceive inventory daily Check in order by piece using scanner to ensure correct medications received while following Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).\n Address inaccuracies with vendor(s).\n Ensure security and proper chain of custody of all products during receiving.\n\nPlace received medications in the appropriate locations within pharmacy.\nAnswer questions regarding medication procurement status and general market availability.\nHandle market recalls and paperwork daily.\nCollaborate with pharmacists to make recommendations on product replacement, substitution, or alternative procurement.\nCommunicate with employees, vendors, caregivers, and wholesalers by phone, fax, and email in a clear, courteous, and professional manner.\nOccasional operational fulfillment help may be needed.\nContribute to cross-functional and team ad-hoc priorities as business needs grow.\nQualifications:\nActive pharmacy technician license (state of Indiana) preferred;\nCandidates must apply for Tech-In-Training pharmacy technician permit from the Indiana Board of Pharmacy Professional Licensing Agency before Day 1 of employment.\nPrevious pharmacy experience extremely valuable.\nWorking Conditions:\nThe normal working hours for an Inventory Technician are generally Monday through Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm, but may be adjusted on a case-by-case basis determined by volume\nQuarterly inventory Saturday shift, 8:00am - 2:00pm\nMaterials Management Technician team members must communicate and work well together as a team.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThis position may require standing and walking for extended periods of time\nHeavy lifting is not required but a technician should be able to lift up to 20lbs\nTechnicians may be required to push wheeled carts containing a number of bins/totes from one location to another\nOperating a desktop keyboard and mouse\nCommunicating with employees, patients, caregivers, and physicians by phone, fax, and email in a courteous and professional manner.\nWE PROUDLY OFFER:\n(Primarily) Monday - Friday Day Shift\nClosed for 6 Paid Holidays\n14 Days of PTO in the first year\nMultiple Healthcare Plans (including one at no-employee cost)\nDental and Vision Coverage\nFree Life Insurance\nSupplemental Insurance Plans\n401(k) Retirement Plan with a generous company match\nSimple IRA\nMedical and Dependent Care Flex Spending Accounts\n$150 Initial Scrub Allowance, $50/year Continued Allowance\nOnsite workout facility\nJoin us at Young at Heart Pharmacy and become a valuable member of our dedicated team committed to providing exceptional customer service in the healthcare industry.
