CVector has customers across the United States and operates real-world systems in demanding industrial environments.\nRole Overview\nAs a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer, you will own the technical direction of CVector’s customer-facing platform end to end-from the real-time data visualization and AI-driven insight experiences our operators rely on, through the application services, data pipelines, and industrial gateways that feed them. Our software runs in power generation facilities, chemical plants, and ethanol plants, where the interface is often the only window an operator has into what the model is predicting and why.\nThis role is for an engineer who has already shaped a product or platform that others in the industry recognize, and who wants to do it again at the frontier of AI-driven industrial operations. You will set architectural standards across the stack, make the calls that determine how the platform scales to dozens of plants and hundreds of concurrent data streams, and decide where the boundaries between front end, back end, and edge should sit. You will be the engineer the rest of the team looks to when the hardest cross-cutting problems land.\nYou will collaborate closely with product, design, modeling, and backend engineers, and you will have significant influence over product direction, platform architecture, engineering practice, and the growth of the team.\nResponsibilities\nAs a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer, you will:\nOwn the architecture and long-term evolution of the full stack: web applications, application services, real-time data flows, and the contracts between them\nLead the design of a real-time data visualization and AI insight platform that makes complex plant economics legible to operators and executives at a glance\nDrive major technical initiatives and migrations from proposal through delivery, including sequencing, risk management, and getting the organization aligned\nSet the bar for engineering quality across the stack-testing strategy, observability, performance, and security-and build the tooling and practices that keep it there as the team grows\nTranslate ambiguous customer and product needs into clear technical strategy, and push back when the simpler product answer beats the clever technical one\nMentor senior and junior engineers, lead design reviews, and raise the judgment of the whole team rather than just its throughput\nParticipate in an on-call rotation and take point on the hardest production incidents, turning each one into durable platform improvements\nTravel to customer sites to understand firsthand how operators use the system under real-world constraints, and bring that understanding back into the platform\nWhy This Role Matters\nThis role sits at the intersection of real-time data, AI prediction, and the people who run physical plants. The quality of the platform you build determines whether operators trust what the model tells them, whether customers see the value fast enough to expand, and whether CVector can scale intelligent operations across industries without the platform becoming the bottleneck.\nIf you enjoy owning a product-critical system end to end, shaping the foundations other engineers build on, and seeing your work change how real facilities run, this role offers both technical challenge and real-world impact.\nRequirements\nOur current technology stack includes Python, TypeScript, React, Supabase, MQTT, Figma, Arco Design, TigerData, PostgreSQL, and AWS, with development workflows managed through GitHub.\nA strong candidate will:\nShow how they have left their fingerprint on their corner of the industry, ambitious to do it again\nHave a decade or more of experience building and operating production software across front end, back end, and data layers, with deep expertise in Python and/or TypeScript\nHave designed and shipped multiple generations of a modern web application at scale, including the hard parts: complex UI state, real-time data, and performance under load\nHave strong architectural judgment for cloud infrastructure, databases, and event-driven or real-time systems, and a track record of making decisions that aged well\nBring demonstrated experience with data visualization, dashboards, or analytical interfaces where clarity and trust are the product\nBe tracking the latest developments in AI-assisted development and agentic systems, and have opinions about how they should change the way software is built and shipped\nCommunicate clearly in writing and in person, and be able to carry an architectural argument with engineers, product, and customers
