The ideal candidate brings clinical credibility, strong project management discipline, and the ability to navigate the unique regulatory and operational demands of oncology clinical research in a federal environment.\nThe Lead Project Manager, Clinical Trials will collaborate closely with the Lead Program Manager, clinical research staff, and federal stakeholders to ensure trials-related workstreams are executed with precision, compliance, and a relentless focus on patient outcomes.\nResponsibilities\nLead end-to-end project management of oncology clinical trials workstreams, including planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring, and closeout\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive project plans, trial timelines, risk registers, and status reporting for clinical trials activities\nCoordinate across clinical research teams, IRB, regulatory bodies, and operational stakeholders to ensure compliant and timely trial execution\nServe as the primary point of contact for clinical trials-related stakeholder engagement, including research leadership, clinical staff, and federal program sponsors\nEstablish and maintain trial performance metrics, data collection protocols, and outcome tracking frameworks\nIdentify and manage risks, issues, and regulatory dependencies across clinical trials workstreams\nSupport development of trial-related documentation, protocols, SOPs, and briefing materials\nCollaborate with the Lead PM and cross-functional teams to ensure clinical trials activities align with broader program objectives and timelines\nContribute to process improvement efforts to enhance trial efficiency, compliance, and patient enrollment outcomes\nMentor and support junior project management staff supporting clinical trials activities\nQualifications\nMD, RN, or Nurse Practitioner (NP) required\n5+ years of direct experience leading oncology clinical trials, including multi-site or federally sponsored research programs\nStrong working knowledge of clinical trial regulatory requirements, IRB processes, and GCP guidelines\nDemonstrated ability to manage complex project workstreams in fast-paced federal or integrated healthcare environments\nExcellent stakeholder engagement skills with ability to communicate effectively across clinical, research, and administrative audiences\nProficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite\nAbility to obtain a Public Trust Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required\nDesired Skills\nExperience within VA, NCI, NIH, or other federal health research environments\nProject Management Professional (PMP) or Clinical Research Associate (CRA) certification\nFamiliarity with federal program management frameworks and compliance requirements\nThis position is contingent upon program award.
