The platform handles approximately 44 million API hits annually and operates under FedRAMP Moderate controls.\nResponsibilities\nProvide technical authority for MuleSoft/ESB/SOA architecture and API-led connectivity design \nLead security/ATO alignment, FedRAMP Moderate compliance, and root-cause resolution \nDesign and govern reusable System, Process, and Experience API layers \nOversee API security, TLS, high-volume reliability, observability, and performance architecture \nProduce ARB artifacts and technical standards; mentor the engineering team \nLead modernization of integration services and assess new system architecture needs rapidly \nQualifications\nMust be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance\nBS/BA + 10 years of relevant experience; OR MS + 5 years of relevant experience \n10+ years of technical leadership experience \n8+ years of enterprise system development/integration experience \n3+ years on comparable scope/complexity efforts \nCloud/DevSecOps modernization experience \nDeep MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and CloudHub architecture expertise \nStrong knowledge of ESB/SOA and API-led connectivity, Oracle/MS SQL integration, and API security/TLS \nExperience with FedRAMP Moderate/NIST 800-53/FIPS 140-2 controls and high-volume API service management \nDesired Skills\nNIH EPLC architecture/design artifacts knowledge \nFISMA Moderate/RMF/ATO/JCAM and Public Trust Moderate (Tier 2) eligibility \nDevSecOps/CI-CD, automated testing, and code quality proficiency \nCloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP); containers/IaC as appropriate \nGovernment-approved AI-assisted code/test workflow experience \nOn-site availability when directed \nSalary Range: $160,000 - $180,000 (depending on experience)\nThis position is contingent upon program award.
