In this hands-on role, you will develop agentic frameworks, data pipelines, and retrieval-augmented and agent-based applications as part of an engineering team, working under the guidance of senior and staff engineers. You will develop well-defined features and components from conception through production support, while growing your depth in ML engineering, cloud platforms, and responsible AI practices.\nKey Responsibilities:\nBuild GenAI and agentic AI components, including RAG pipelines, tool-calling agents, agent memory, and multi-agent workflows, using vector databases and graph retrieval patterns.\nDevelop and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and feature preparation using Python, SQL, and PySpark across BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.\nImplement computer vision solutions such as object detection and tracking using OpenCV, Roboflow, including dataset preparation and annotation workflows.\nApply statistical and unsupervised techniques to support analytics, segmentation, and causal-impact use cases.\nBuild workflow automations and integrations on cloud services.\nWrite clean, tested, and well-documented code; participate in code reviews and follow established CI/CD, security, and compliance standards.\nMonitor model and agent performance in production, and help troubleshoot issues such as data drift, retrieval quality, latency, and failures.\nSupport evaluation of model and agent quality using defined metrics, test sets, and human-in-the-loop review.\nCollaborate with product owners, data engineers, and senior engineers to translate requirements into technical tasks, and communicate progress, blockers, and risks clearly.\nContribute to team knowledge-sharing and stay current with emerging AI/ML tools and techniques, including AI-assisted development.\nPosition will be onsite 2 days / week in our Farmers Branch, TX or Scottsdale, AZ CVS office.\n Required Qualifications:\n2+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning or AI applications.\n2+ years of experience with Python, including building production-quality code and APIs (e.g., FastAPI or Flask).\n2+ years of experience with SQL and experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.\n2+ years of hands-on experience with at least one deep learning framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras).\n2+ years of experience working with core AI/ML concepts, including model training, validation, evaluation metrics, and feature engineering.\n1+ year of hands-on experience building or contributing to GenAI solutions, including RAG and LLM integration (e.g., prompt design, tool calling, embeddings).\n1+ year of experience with a vector database (e.g., Pinecone or Qdrant) or a comparable search/retrieval technology.\n1+ year of experience working on a cloud platform (GCP/Azure preferred; AWS acceptable), including storage, compute, and basic IAM concepts.\n1+ year of experience with Git and collaborative development workflows (pull requests, code reviews).\n1+ year of experience working in an Agile team environment.\n1+ year of experience demonstrating the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively with cross-functional partners.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with multi-agent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain) and agent memory patterns.\nExperience with graph-based retrieval (GraphRAG) or HydraDB.\nExperience with workflow automation tools.\nExperience with NLP techniques (text classification, entity extraction, embeddings, semantic search).\nExperience with distributed data processing using PySpark and analytics on BigQuery.\nExperience with Elasticsearch, MongoDB (Atlas preferred), or PostgreSQL beyond basic usage.\nExperience with Docker and containerized deployments; exposure to Kubernetes (GKE) or Cloud Run.\nExposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo) \nWorking knowledge of Java, C++, or R for specific modeling, integration, or performance needs.\nFamiliarity with responsible AI practices, including data privacy, bias awareness, and handling of sensitive data in regulated environments.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, OpenAI, Gemini) for code analysis, refactoring, or agentic workflows.\nEducation:\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience (High School diploma plus 4 years of relevant work experience).\nMaster’s degree is strongly preferred.\nAnticipated Weekly Hours\n40Time Type\nFull timePay Range\nThe typical pay range for this role is:\n$72,100.00 - $144,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
