Join us and be part of something bigger - helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time.\nPosition Summary\nThe Data Engineer - People Analytics role is a technical developer in IT and individual contributor for the People Analytics Data Engineering team responsible for the development of data warehouse modeling, data pipelines, and related analytics specific to People and Workforce analytics in cloud data platforms.\nKey Responsibilities:\nData Pipeline Management\nDesign, build, and manage robust data pipelines and ETL processes that integrate HR data from various systems, including Workday, talent management, payroll, and other data sources.\nData Engineering and Transformation\nDevelop and optimize data workflows to ensure data accuracy, quality, and availability for the People Analytics team and stakeholders across HR and business units.\nTechnical Leadership\nOversee a team of data engineers, providing mentorship, support, and guidance on best practices in data engineering, version control, and coding standards.\nAnalytics & Reporting Support\nWork closely with People Analytics to structure data for analysis, develop data models, and create reproducible workflows that enable efficient reporting in R, Python, and other analytics tools.\nData Security and Compliance\nEnsure data governance and security protocols are followed in accordance with company policies and industry regulations, with a focus on HR data confidentiality and compliance.\nCollaboration with Stakeholders\nPartner with HR leaders, IT, and People Analytics teams to understand business requirements, streamline data requests, and provide insights to support strategic decisions.\nRequired Qualifications\n3+ years' experience in Data Engineering\n3+ years' experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.\n3+ years' experience with SQL and relational databases.\n2+ years' experience programming in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.\n3+ years' experience with cloud platforms, prefer GCP (may consider Azure or AWS).\n2+ years' experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).\n2+ years' experience with scheduling tools like Airflow or Composer.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms and data flows within an HR context.\nProblem-Solving ability and strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and automate data processes.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical processes to non-technical stakeholders effectively.\nFamiliarity or working knowledge of common data visualization or business intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Oracle BI, Visier, etc.).\nPreferably technical experience specific to people or talent analytics, data engineering, visualization, business intelligence, or analytical consulting.\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field required.\nMaster's degree preferred.\nAnticipated Weekly Hours\n40Time Type\nFull timePay Range\nThe typical pay range for this role is:\n$83,430.00 - $222,480.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
