Join us and be part of something bigger - helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time.\nPosition Summary\nThe Sr. Salesforce Developer reports to the Director of Growth and is responsible for designing, developing, and executing custom programmatic solutions that optimize Oak Street Health’s Salesforce ecosystem, streamline complex workflows, and drive enterprise-level efficiency. The Sr. Salesforce Developer supports and collaborates with Business Analysts, Salesforce Administrators, and Growth Leadership to architect high-performing, scalable apex integrations, custom lightning components, and technical best practices across the platform.\nThe key responsibilities for this role are as follows:\nSupport the Director of Growth and Salesforce Leadership in architecting and delivering advanced technical solutions for all of Oak Street Health.\nArchitect, develop, and maintain custom applications using Apex (classes, triggers, batch jobs), Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.\nDesign, build, and maintain robust REST and SOAP API integrations between Salesforce and internal/external third-party systems.\nCollaborate with Salesforce Administrators to determine when programmatic solutions (Apex/LWC) are required vs. declarative tools (Flows).\nPartner with Business Systems Analysts to translate complex business requirements into technical architectures and scalable engineering solutions.\nMaintain platform security and code governance through strict adherence to Apex enterprise patterns, security controls, and bulkification best practices.\nManage DevOps pipelines, CI/CD procedures, code repositories (Git), deployment management, and unit test coverage (>85%).\nServe as a technical mentor to junior developers and administrators on the team, providing guidance on design patterns, code reviews, and development best practices.\nRegularly monitor system performance, perform code optimization, identify and solve performance bottlenecks, and ensure optimal API Governor Limit management.\nStay updated on Salesforce releases, programmatic enhancements, and platform upgrades.\nCreate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for codebase architecture, integrations, data models, and deployment processes. Required Qualifications This is an exciting opportunity to drive technical innovation in a high-impact way, and contribute to the continued growth of a value-based care organization that is changing the way healthcare is delivered.We are looking for people that have:5-8 years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Developer designing and deploying complex programmatic solutions for 1000+ user environments.\nExtensive proficiency in Apex programming, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, Visualforce, and SOQL/SOSL queries.\nProven track record of designing, building, and troubleshooting custom REST/SOAP API integrations.\nHands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps tools, version control systems (Git), and deployment pipelines (Copado, Gearset, SFDX).\nStrong understanding of Salesforce Governor Limits, security model (Profiles, Permission Sets, OWD), data structures, and object architecture.\nStrong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities with a focus on writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code.\nEagerness for continuous technical learning and development.\nExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders across the organization.\nA positive and productive attitude towards supporting cross-functional team members and resolving complex technical issues.\nUndergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.\nSome travel required (10%).\nUS work authorization.\nSalesforce Platform Developer I Certification (Required). Preferred Qualifications Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification or Salesforce System Architect Certification (Highly Preferred).
