As part of an engineering team building the Aetna Health website, we help our members effectively find the care they need.\nWhat you'll do:\nThe web teams are responsible for building the best experience possible for the millions of members using our Aetna Health website. You will work alongside other engineers and with the product and design teams to consistently deliver new features. You will also work to refactor existing code in order to bring greater stability and scalability for our application as our membership continues to increase. This Senior Web Software Engineer II can expect to design, develop and implements digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects.\nIn any given day you will:\nContribute code and tests according to criteria established by our product and engineering teams\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and support our application in production\nSeek opportunities to enhance the stability, performance, maintainability, and extensibility of our application\nLead discussions by communicating technical ideas to non-technical individuals\nParticipate in the design of software architecture solutions\nProvide input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability considerations to ensure that the overall solution meets the desired objectives\nParticipate in knowledge sharing activities, such as code reviews, tech talks, and workshops, to foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team\nProvide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them improve their technical skills and grow professionally\nRequired Qualifications:\n5+ years of professional experience with ReactJS and Redux\n5+ years of experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with React\nExperience with TypeScript\nExperience integrating with RESTful APIs\nExperience writing unit and integration tests\nExperience translating large features into software design\nKnowledge of Github Actions as CI/CD Pipelines\nExperience with GraphQL\nKnowledge of accessibility in web applications\nFamiliarity with Agile software development principles\nStrong communication skills\nPassion for upholding code standards and software quality\nDesire to mentor more junior engineers\n Education:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)\nAnticipated Weekly Hours\n40Time Type\nFull timePay Range\nThe typical pay range for this role is:\n$92,700.00 - $185,400.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
